My Brother in Law got a girl pregnant then married her. They we together until the kid was 5. Once divorced, he questioned wether the kid was his, she said she didn't know.
Long story short his sister was telling him he Had to find out, I said screw that, he loves the kid, the kid loves him, to me the impact it has to the negative on a Kids live is a much bigger factor than the "father" finding out the truth.

F ag, me? Not hardly. You guys should realize that there are some judges that will do unorthodox things like mentioned here if it will create a better situation for the child. Many of you get angry at the mother, but the court needs to protect the child.
It is obvious to me that some of you guys that pay child support are bitter about it and relate it to a sentence (or slavery) and I find that disgusting.
I will generalize here, but in most cases (Brittney Spears excluded) men are paying child support to women so:
as long as there is no requirement for the woman to account for how the money is spent, and no documentation ever provided to the man who is paying then I agree.
I think men should pay to support their children but giving the money to the mother and assuming they only use it for their children's needs is naive at best, and laughable in the real world.
There are only a handful of states that even allow the court to demand an accounting of what a person does with money they receive for child support. And also child support "AWARDS" are tax-free money to a woman - the man pays the tax before it is awarded to a woman (or to Kevin Federline). It is a windfall for many people - the women, their lawyers, the Family Court system.....kids are way down the list
