So let me get this straight. You need to sit down and come up with a figure that is right for all of your own gambling debts?????? I am a little confused. Don't most sportbooks give you your balance before you make a wager?????

The thread was moved from the mess hall to be groomed, as a lot of the posts had the real names of people ("victims") who didn't want their real names published. It is back in the mess hall now, but on page 2. Sorry for the delay.

"Lots of honest guys here and it starts from the top in our leader Kenny, he leads us by example."

ROFLMFAO!

ROFLMFAO...even harder. Groomed...BWHA!

There's more bullshit in just this thread alone than there is in the streets of Spain during the running of the bulls.

picked out the names of people who the ghost poster had no right to make public. You new posters are surely easily entertained.

Chips (or shoebox or jerry)-
Curious about the story. Not saying you stiffed anybody. I am familiar with some of the books at Casablanca and some of the personnel. We may have met.
1) Did you really work at Casablanca, and for which of the books in the call center? (which floor of building, turning left or right at the stairs?)
2) Who did you supposedly stiff?
3) I can't promise to vouch for you (if I do indeed know you), but I might have an opinion about your accuser(s).
4) If your name is Jerry and you worked for Smalls, we do know each other.

You hit the nail on the head Java. He is a degenerate gambler that always gets in over his only to have his employer come and bail him. The list is probably long and distinguished of who he owes.

Throbber-
I'm assuming you think I hit it with #4 (name and book).
If so, shoebox/chips was a manager clerk at the front desk and he moved lines. If he wrote more than two plays a day, it was a rare event, as he primarily moved lines.
I was unaware that he wagered himself (or least not with big money). I wouldn't have guessed he'd have any kind of sheet of players himself.
Part of the reason was that he was a clerk. His boss and I had some friction, but boss seemed pretty street smart. I'm surprised boss would extend him more credit than a few weeks salary. Anybody with 50K of credit wouldn't be working as a clerk. And anyone making clerk wages should NOT have that big a credit line.
Shoebox/chips was never rude/unfriendly/dishonest with me. I could see him slow paying a nickel debt for a few weeks until payday. But, I'm surprised that he could get in 50K deep before someone should have stopped the ride (especially his boss).
