As a young teen, getting up at 5:00 AM every single day to deliver newspapers in the bitter, biting cold. One of the routes I did was along Lake Champlain in Vermont the winds would come across the lake and rip through you. I remember it being so cold that your eyes would water, and instantly freeze, so you had to brush the moisture away to keep your eyes from freezing shut.
I think I made like $20 a week.
I wouldn't ever have it any other way. It built a strong work ethic in me, and the character and perseverance to push through difficult situations. I wish
I would have done a better job instilling this into my kids.
