Loomis is painting the school with some pretty broad strokes, especially given the history of corruption that has taken place in South Bend, kettle calling the pot black. 1) Sure, I guess....not sure what that PROVES. Local cops often supplement their insufficient incomes by moonlighting on these types of gigs, not uncommon.

1) You're right, cops do do this but in this case, it's a direct conflict of interest and surely you can see this. When the woman came in to the PD, he should've shifted the case to another detective. He has motive not to do a good job as the alums butter his bread.
2) Yes, people video tape sexual assaults all the time especially when they're drunk. What did he tape and furthermore, why erase it after cops told him not to erase it? Fishy huh? Stupid kids did it in the Stubenville case in Ohio.
LOL, this case his hollow? Then why is Winston going to face a hearing to determine his standing with the school and why he is still, to this day, being investigated for this rape. It's far from over but keep defending him.
The woman told police Casher asked Winston to stop sexually assaulting her, although Casher and Darby provided sworn affidavits through Winston's attorney that they witnessed a consensual sexual encounter between Winston and the woman. Casher also admitted video recording Winston and the woman.
Each is charged with "conduct of a sexual nature that creates an intimidating, hostile, or offensive environment for another person" and "acts that invade privacy of another person." Casher is also charged with "recording images without consent."
We can do this all night man, but its past my bedtime. I was not there to witness what happened, so I will just have to wait for this all to work itself out. You're missing the point. The case is still ongoing. It's far from closed.
And, the District Attorney (not the State Attorney) couldn't prosecute because of how shady the investigation was. They didn't have anything to prosecute because of all the key evidence left out.
