If I read correctly, then you say Gtown +5 (thats off by about 7-8 points) and Ga Tech +14 (If it's that high I will have my biggest play of year on Gtech) Also do see some value in a BC line...interested in seeing what that one is after a Wake big win...time for a letdown

Not sure why someone would think Wake would be favored by 8 over BC at BC. This same wake team was favored by 9 over east carolina a couple of weeks ago, I think -3 or 4 is probably closer to the # , unless someone is hurt.

Here's some lines from my own ratings, there's probably going to be some differences especially in those games where a shitty team is playing at home against a much better team. I'm fairly high on VT but probably not going to play them unless they're under -10. Also might be overrating St Joseph's a lot, just thought that they were going to be much better this season.

GTown is off about 7 or 8 points, which way? You saying they should be a bigger chalk or the other way? As for Ga Tech you may be right, I might even lean that way myself, problem is despite being at home they haven't played much of a schedule yet. Duke has been much more tested. Thanks for your opinion, been checking you out this year and like what you're doing.


Wunderdog - I agree with you but we seem to be in the minority. Some have said Wake should be laying 8 or 9, some have said 12 and up!? If so I will be all over BC, I already like them in this spot, plus 12 or so and it will be a monster play on my end. I don't think the line is going to be anywhere around there but I hope it is.

Good stuff man. And yes of course I agree with you guys that if you could watch every game that would be best. But by having stuff in a computer that you assign to games it does the initial part of evaluating matchups. From there you go on your own, helps make it a lot easier when there are big cards and you don't have time to check every game for potential value. Again though it is smart to specialize, especially in college hoops, get enough guys that closely monitor one conference or so and you can put together a nice team. Going to check out what some of you guys have given teams when I get back from lunch, good luck today guys.

Based on what I had and where the numbers landed I need to look at the following games to see why the lines are off:

Wake Forest laying 12? Wow, I'll be all over that one if your line is correct Rail. You're the 2nd one that has mentioned it though, maybe my 5 is a bit low? Often when a team like this comes off a big win like they did in beating NC the public will overvalue them for their next game. I don't think BC is going to be as easy as some of you are expecting, in fact they may win this game straight up IMO.

I try to make year end powerratings. Disreagrd lvsc. I am proud of myslef for knowing LongBeach was the best team in their confrence early, even still I dont think lvsc acknowledge that, but they will at some point. when you would have been hard pressed to find anyone else have them in the top 3.
