The Rx.com Mod Team has created this Service Play sub-forum in order to supply an area for Rx Service Play Posters to expand upon their posting topics without creating a logjam in the main forum where the three principle threads are maintained..

Posters can track services here if they care to but we will need any trackers to do so in an accurate and civil manner. We did not create this area for posters to ridicule or bash any services..

You can also discuss who is hot and who is not. The general state of the pay for plays industry and any other subject or topic related to service plays.

You can also create individual threads about specific services and discuss them freely but civilly. Again bashing and abusive treatment of any services will not be tolerated.

Please remember, this forum is not here for regular posters who cap their own games to post ther daily plays. Please use our individual sport forums to post your plays. Professional cappers (those that sell plays) must remain in the Site Promotion Forum.

The Rx.com will not tolerate posters that post false records of any services they track. Please be truthful if you decide to track a particular service.

Lastly The Rx Moderators are appealing to you our everyday posters to report any promotional threads or posts that are made by services or individual touts. No links or contact information to an individual service will be allowed. Just the name of the service. Please report any threads or posts that are promotional attempts by services and touts to use this forum to promote themselves..

Posters can easily report a promotional post by using the triangular Report-a-Post Icon at the bottom left of all post boxes. The poster name of any poster who reports a post that is out of line will be kept strictly confidential.

I will leave this thread open for a month to take questions and do my best to answer them. I will check in daily but am off on Wednesday and Thursday.

I hope this additional Service Play Forum will satisfy those posters that would like to widen the scope of topics relating to service plays and the industry in general to have their own threads. Mods will be liberal as possible regarding topics but this forum was specifically created to allow you more freedom to express your ideas regarding service plays and related subject matter. No off topic threads will be allowed.

Thank you, wilheim

ICE PICKS

Wednesday's Best NHL Bets

San Jose Sharks at Detroit Red Wings (-170, 5.5)

Don’t expect the Sharks to be intimidated by Joe Louis Arena.

The team got a split there last year after taking a 2-0 lead following a pair of games in California. Now, San Jose will look to be even better. The Sharks entered that series having won a mere eight of their past 44 trips to the Motor City, but have fared much better since. Aside from splitting Games 3 and 4 there last spring, the Sharks claimed both regular season meetings at The Joe.

"I think we've played better there of late," Sharks forward Joe Pavelski said. "But the next game is going to be fresh, and there's not going to be any thought of previous games. They're going to be good and come out harder than they did in Game 2. So we're going to have to play harder."

Detroit goaltender Jimmy Howard also could use some home cooking. Despite allowing just four goals on 83 shots, the Sharks have managed to rattle him. By continually skating well into the crease before stopping, the San Jose attackers are showering with ice shards and getting under his skin.

"I don't know why they keep allowing them to do it,” Detroit defenseman Nicklas Lidstrom said. “The refs could stop it right away by calling it. And it's pretty obvious that they're trying to do it."

San Jose isn’t rattled, but Howard is. That trend should continue.

PICK: Sharks

Philadelphia Flyers at Boston Bruins (-145, 5.5)

Brian Boucher expects to start in goal for the Flyers on Wednesday night. Will he? Well that’s anyone’s guess.

“Every time there’s a goalie change it grabs the attention of all the players,” Boucher said. “Anytime there’s a goalie change, everybody’s gonna snap back and be like, ‘Whoa, we need to wake up, or change the way we’re playing.’ I just happened to be the benefactor of that the last two times it’s happened.”

But this time he might be the one feeling the pinch. Boucher stopped 32 of 35 shots and briefly missed some time in the second period as he nursed a hand injury. Rookie Sergei Bobrovsky tended the net in his place, and will likely would be his replacement if coach Peter Laviolette opts to make a switch. Boucher, however, wasn’t up to the task and a turnover in the Flyers zone resulted in a 3-2 overtime loss.

It wasn’t great, but it still was infinitely better than a 7-3 defeat in Game 1 that saw him cough up five goals on just 23 shots. Still, no one is sure if it will be enough to put him back between the pipes for a must win.

"I think there are only so many times you can make a change before running out of nine lives," Boucher said. "You know, we make changes in our lineup all the time. Guys just prepare. We don't think about those external things. But I will prepare the same way I do every day and we will see what happens."

Oh, and it gets worse. Boston has yet to score a power play goal in the series and have failed to convert on 30 straight chances. If the Bruins finally click, it might be a quick night for Boucher.

PICK 'N' ROLL

Wednesday's Best NBA Bets

Atlanta Hawks at Chicago Bulls (-8.5, 179)

If there is one lesson the Bulls learned during the second half of the season, it’s how to rebound from a loss. Chicago is 9-1 straight up and against the spread following each of its past 10 defeats.

And judging from coach Tom Thibodeau’s postgame remarks, he knows just the right buttons to push to get his team back on track to even the series after a Game 1 defeat.

"The first thing you have to ask is: Are you executing properly?” Thibodeau said. “Then you also have to ask yourself: Are you playing hard enough? Once you answer those two questions, you decide if you want to change."

Chicago also got good news on Tuesday when it was revealed that star point guard and NBA MVP Derrick Rose had simply a sprained ankle and not something more serious. The All-Star has battled nagging injuries all postseason as teams are playing him tough when he attacks the rim.

But if Rose is on the floor, it should be enough for the Bulls offense. It’s the defensive side the team is worried about, and something that Thibodeau said the team would work on extensively in practice. Hawks star Joe Johnson shouldn’t expect to drop 34 points again in the Windy City.

"We were not challenging shots, we were not keeping the ball in front, we were not finishing our defense," Thibodeau said. "And we played low-energy offense. You cannot do that in the playoffs."

PICK: Bulls

Dallas Mavericks at Los Angeles Lakers (-7, 187)

Kobe Bryant said the Lakers gave Game 1 against the Mavericks away. He insisted the biggest reason for the team’s late collapse was failing to pound the ball down low to Pau Gasol and Andrew Bynum.

“The second unit and crew has to get a conscious effort to get the ball into Pau and the ball into Andrew,” Bryant said. “I had games where I shot the ball 10 times and Pau and Andrew didn't contribute that much. I had games where I shot the ball 30 times and they had big games. It has nothing to do with my shots."

Bynum finished a mere 3-of-8 from the floor for eight points to go with five rebounds. However, he was a non-factor defensively and finished minus-16 for the game. Gasol got up just 10 shots, hitting five and finishing with 15 points and 11 rebounds. It was just his second double-double of the postseason, and he finished with three turnovers and three fouls – one of which was of the boneheaded variety late in regulation that led to a huge pair of free throws by Dirk Nowitzki.

Statistically, it was Gasol’s best game, finishing with a line of 15-11-7. However, he still couldn’t get the best of Nowitzki, who finished with 28 points and consistently make his presence felt.

"Definitely we gave up a lot of buckets because they spread the floor," said Bynum. "We just got beat on both sides."

Look for Dallas to continue to dictate the matchups and keep the style of play in its favor.

HOT LINES

Wednesday's Best MLB Bets

Toronto Blue Jays at Tampa Bay Rays (-115, 8)

The Rays hope that getting a big part of their lineup back can help their offensive woes, just as the Jays could be without their biggest slugger. Evan Longoria was activated for Tuesday’s game after hitting the shelf on April 2 with an oblique injury.

"I think this is one of those things, again I've never experienced this so I don't know how it will react, but I've played and felt pretty much the same coming into the ballpark every day as I did the day before," Longoria told reporters. "If all stays the same, I hope to go everyday."

That would be a major boost for the Rays’ offense, which is hitting just .242 as a team.

Meanwhile, Toronto’s Jose Bautista will likely be out for at least a couple of days with a neck problem and is expected to undergo an MRI. He already has nine homers on the year, so his pop will definitely be missed.

Brandon Morrow and Jeremy Hellickson have both been pretty good on the hill this year so we'll go with the under.

PICK: Under

Cleveland Indians at Oakland Athletics (-145, 7)

Now don’t get us wrong, the Cleveland Indians have tons to celebrate about. They sit atop the league’s money standings and have probably been the biggest surprise of the early baseball season.

But that doesn’t excuse Indians outfielder Shin-Soo Choo for getting busted a DUI early Monday morning before the team shipped out to Oakland. Apparently, Choo blew twice the .08 legal limit.

Anyway, that’s a bit beside the point. Choo was off to a decent start with four homers and 15 RBIs to go along with a .250 batting average, while Cleveland had put up at least five runs in five of six straight wins heading into the first game of the club’s series with Oakland. Still the Indians aren’t satisfied.

"We're not putting godly statistics up there," backup outfielder Shelley Duncan told reporters. "And we still have a couple guys who haven't really started hitting, and we still have some young guys who are going to get better and better."

That much is true. The Indians haven’t been as good on the road, obviously, but we’ll jump at this price tag.

PICK: Indians

What Bettors Need To Know: Wednesday's NBA Playoff Action
Atlanta Hawks at Chicago Bulls (-8.5, 180)
Atlanta Leads Series 1-0

The Atlanta Hawks were an afterthought when the postseason started. They are certainly at the forefront in the minds of the Chicago Bulls right now. The Hawks shocked the Bulls in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference semifinals, jumping out early and finishing strong while refusing to let Derrick Rose or the hostile crowd get to them. The pressure will be on Chicago when it hosts Game 2 on Wednesday, trying to prevent Atlanta from taking a commanding 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven set.

TV: 8 p.m. ET, TNT

ABOUT THE BULLS: Chicago shot under 30 percent in the first quarter and Rose did not score a point until less than five minutes remained in the first half. For all of their troubles, the Bulls still managed to take the lead in the third quarter. The problem was the end of the third and into the fourth, as the Hawks shredded the Bulls’ league-best defense by bridging the final two quarters with a 27-9 burst. Rose ended up with 24 points and 10 assists, but struggled to shoot 11-of-27 from the floor and did not attempt a free throw after averaging 12 attempts from the line in the first round.

ABOUT THE HAWKS: Joe Johnson spent most of the regular season drawing criticism for a lack of production after signing the biggest free agent deal of a wild 2010 summer. Johnson proved his worth in Game 1, scoring 34 points and shooting 5-of-5 from 3-point range. The veteran guard capped the big run in the fourth quarter with a 3-pointer and had no trouble shaking off Chicago defensive stopper Keith Bogans amongst a slew of defenders. Jamal Crawford stepped up as well, pouring in 24 points off the bench for the Hawks.

WHO’S HOT/WHO’S NOT: Luol Deng carried the Bulls offensively through the first half on Monday and finished with 21 points on 8-of-12 shooting. Josh Smith struggled from the floor for Atlanta, shooting 3-of-11 and just 2-of-4 from the line for eight points.

KEY STATISTIC: Shooting percentage. Chicago led the NBA in defensive shooting percentage in the regular season, holding opponents to 43 percent from the floor. Something went wrong in Game 1, as the Hawks went off at 51.3 percent.

TRENDS:

* Over is 5-1 in the last six meetings in Chicago.
* Over is 9-3 in the last 12 meetings.
* Hawks are 8-3 ATS in the last 11 meetings.

LAST WORD: Rose provided the scare of the night for the Bulls when he twisted his left ankle on the final play and had to be helped off by teammates and trainers. Rose sprained the same ankle in Game 4 of the first round against the Indiana Pacers. As a result, Rose was less explosive in Game 5, although he still managed 25 points in the clinching game.

Dallas Mavericks at Los Angeles Lakers (-7, 187.5)
Dallas Leads Series 1-0

THE STORY: The Dallas Mavericks pulled off a stunning comeback victory in the opener and look to take a 2-0 lead over the host Los Angeles Lakers when the Western Conference semifinals resume on Wednesday. Dallas trailed by 16 points early in the third quarter before rallying to pull out a 96-94 victory in Monday’s Game 1. The Mavericks scored nine of the last 11 points over the final 3 1/2 minutes and made the key plays down the stretch while the Lakers wilted under the weight of two costly turnovers. Dallas has notched two straight playoff road victories after winning just two of its previous 20 playoff road contests before closing out the first-round series in Portland. Los Angeles also lost its home opener in the first round against the New Orleans Hornets before rallying to win that series in six games.

TV: 10:30 p.m. TNT.

ABOUT THE LAKERS: Los Angeles uncharacteristically crumbled badly when Game 1 was on the line. Kobe Bryant turned the ball over with 20.9 seconds, Pau Gasol had the ball stolen by Jason Kidd with 3.1 seconds left and Bryant missed an open last-second 3-point basket. Bryant didn’t appear bothered by his inflamed ankle while scoring 36 points, but didn’t record a single assist for just the second time all season. Gasol had 15 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists and Lamar Odom had a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds. Andrew Bynum (eight points) and Ron Artest (two) struggled and the Los Angeles bench was outplayed by the Mavericks.

ABOUT THE MAVERICKS: Dallas is attempting to erase the label of playoff underachievers and certainly took a step in that direction with its Game 1 rally and play down the stretch. Dirk Nowitzki hit two go-ahead free throws with 19.5 seconds left and Kidd made the clutch steal as the Mavericks showed impressive poise on enemy soil. Nowitzki had 28 points and 14 rebounds, Jason Terry scored 15 points and Kidd had 11 assists and three steals. The Mavericks received 40 points from their bench with Terry and Peja Stojakovic (10 points) making the biggest impacts. Dallas hit nine 3-point baskets and committed just 11 turnovers.

WHO'S HOT/WHO’S NOT: Nowitzki’s 28-point game marked his seventh straight 20-point outing this postseason. Artest was just 1-of-8 shooting while scoring two points in the opener.

KEY STATISTIC: Los Angeles made just 5-of-19 attempts from 3-point range in Game 1. Bryant was 4-of-9; the rest of the Lakers were 1-for-10.

TRENDS:

* Over is 4-1 in the last five meetings.
* Mavericks are 7-2 ATS in the last nine meetings in Los Angeles.
* Over is 6-2 in the last eight meetings in Los Angeles.
* Road team is 11-4-1 ATS in the last 16 meetings.

LAST WORD: “I’m highly concerned. This team can beat us. It’s clear. We just have to come in ready to play Game 2.” – Bryant after Dallas beat the Lakers in Monday’s Game 1.

What Bettors Need To Know: Wednesday's NHL Playoff Action
Philadelphia Flyers at Boston Bruins (-144, 5.5)
Boston Leads Series 2-0

THE STORY:With all due respect to David Krejci, Vezina Trophy finalist Tim Thomas was truly "The Story" on Monday. Thomas turned aside a career-high 52 shots - including 32 after the second period - as the Boston Bruins recorded a 3-2 overtime victory over the Philadelphia Flyers in Game 2 of their Eastern Conference semifinal series. The All-Star netminder used his athleticism to stop the final 46 shots he faced to improve to 8-0 in the City of Brotherly Love. With the scene shifting to Beantown for Game 3 on Wednesday, Thomas and the third-seeded Bruins will look to push the second-seeded Flyers to the brink of elimination.

TV: 7 ET, VERSUS, CBC

ABOUT THE BRUINS: After suffering a dislocated wrist in last year's semifinal series, Krejci capped the wild night by scoring 14 minutes into overtime on Monday. Philadelphia failed to clear its defensive zone and Nathan Horton collected the puck at the blue line and alertly fed Krejci, who wired a shot from just inside the right faceoff circle past Brian Boucher. Krejci now has three goals and an assist in the series. The Bruins have won all four of their overtime games in the playoffs. Chris Kelly and Brad Marchand scored 85 seconds apart in the first period to level the game at 2-2. Defenseman Adam McQuaid exited Game 2 in the first period after he slammed headfirst into the boards on a failed attempt to deliver an elbow on captain Mike Richards. Former Flyer defenseman Dennis Seidenberg is an impressive plus-7 in the series.

ABOUT THE FLYERS: Admittedly it's not all gloom and doom for Peter Laviolette's club after it dropped its first two games at home. One year ago, the Flyers overcame a 3-0 deficit to win the final four contests of their Eastern Conference semifinal series against the Bruins. James van Riemsdyk continues to have a solid postseason as he scored twice nearly nine minutes apart in the first period. For van Riemsdyk, who turns 22 on Wednesday, he has scored in five straight games and has seven tallies overall in the postseason. Philadelphia set a franchise record with 54 shots on goal during a playoff game. Boucher stopped 32 shots overall, despite leaving midway through the second period with an injury to his left side. He returned to start the third. Veteran defenseman Chris Pronger, who missed five of the Flyers' seven games in the conference quarterfinal series, sat out Game 2 with an undisclosed injury. He is questionable for Games 3 and 4.

WHO'S HOT/WHO’S NOT: Boston's Milan Lucic has failed to score a goal in 19 straight contests. He had a career-high 30 tallies in the regular season. Marchand has four goals and five assists in nine playoff games. Philadelphia All-Star Claude Giroux has nine assists in his last five contests.

SPECIAL TEAMS: The Flyers went 1-for-4 on the power play and are now 7-for-42 in the playoffs. For its part, Boston continues to shoot itself in the foot with the man advantage. The Bruins went 0-for-2 in Monday's tilt and is now 0-for-28 in the playoffs.

TRENDS:

* Underdog is 6-1 in the last seven meetings.
* Road team is 6-1 in the last seven meetings.
* Flyers are 0-4 in the last four meetings.

LAST WORD: "I think we’re going to go into Boston, we’re going to play a strong hockey game and we’re going to win the game,” Laviolette, on whether the Flyers can rebound in this series.

San Jose Sharks at Detroit Red Wings (-163, 5.5)
San Jose Leads Series 2-0

THE STORY: The Detroit Red Wings have yet to discover their scoring touch against the San Jose Sharks in their Western Conference semifinal series. They'll need to find it when they host Game 3 at Joe Louis Arena on Wednesday to avoid falling into a 3-0 hole. After scoring 18 goals in its four-game sweep of the Phoenix Coyotes in the conference quarterfinals, Detroit has tallied just once in each of the two semifinal contests at San Jose, losing a pair of 2-1 decisions. The Red Wings netted the first goal of the series before allowing four straight by the Sharks, who have won six of the last seven playoff games between the clubs - all by one tally.

TV: 8 p.m. ET, VERSUS, TSN2, CSN California, FSN Detroit

ABOUT THE RED WINGS: Detroit was outshot in each of the two contests in San Jose but made strides in Game 2 after the Sharks registered a 46-25 advantage in the series opener, including a 7-1 edge in overtime. The Red Wings have been fortunate San Jose's power play has not been in top form as they have given the Sharks 11 opportunities thus far while allowing only two goals. Dating back to last year's conference semifinals and including the 2010-11 regular season, Detroit has lost 10 of its last 12 meetings with San Jose.

ABOUT THE SHARKS: San Jose's defense has gotten very involved offensively in the series. Dan Boyle recorded a pair of assists in Game 1 while both of the Sharks' goals on Sunday were scored by blue-liners. Ian White converted a power-play chance for his sixth point of the postseason and Niclas Wallin netted what proved to be the game-winner early in the third period. Of Wallin's four career playoff goals, all have decided a game and three have come in overtime.

WHO'S HOT/WHO'S NOT: Ryane Clowe helped set up both of San Jose's goals in Sunday's victory, giving him a team-leading nine points in the playoffs. Calder Trophy candidate Logan Couture has notched an assist in each game of the series. Pavel Datsyuk has assisted on both of Detroit's goals in the series. After missing the first-round matchup against Phoenix, Henrik Zetterberg scored on the power play in Game 2, his second contest since April 6.

SPECIAL TEAMS: San Jose is 4-for-34 (11.8 percent) on the power play in the postseason and Detroit has converted 21.7 percent (5-for-23) of its opportunities. Neither team has been exceptional on the penalty kill as the Sharks have successfully extinguished just 81.2 percent of their infractions while the Red Wings have allowed eight goals in 29 shorthanded situations for a 72.4 percent success rate.

TRENDS:

* Over is 4-0 in the last four meetings in Detroit.
* Sharks are 5-0 in the last five meetings.
* Favorite is 25-12 in the last 37 meetings.
* Sharks are 8-20-1 in the last 29 meetings in Detroit.

LAST WORD: "It's a matter of bearing down and playing a little better defensively. And we've got to score more goals, too. Getting one goal, it's hard to win in the playoffs." - Detroit captain Nicklas Lidstrom on getting back into the series.

Wednesday's Betting Tips:

Who's Hot

NBA: Dallas is 10-0-1 against the spread (ATS) in its last 11 overall.

NHL: Boston has won four straight over Philadelphia.

NHL: Tampa Bay is 11-6 this season in the back end of back-to-backs.

MLB: The over is 7-0-1 in the New York Yankees’ last eight as an underdog.

Who’s Not

NBA: Los Angeles Lakers are 2-6 ATS in their last eight home games.

NHL: San Jose has won five straight against the Red Wings, but has just eight wins in its last 29 trips to Detroit.

MLB: The Chicago White Sox have lost each of John Danks’ last six starts.

Key Stat

4 – On the surface, it looks as though Kobe Bryant did all he could by pouring in 36 points in Los Angeles’ Game 1 loss to the Dallas Mavericks, but Kobe attempted just four shots inside of 10 feet, settling for outside jumpers all night. With Jason Kidd blanketing him, maybe Bryant’s sprained ankle is keeping him from taking it to the hole more than he’s letting on.

Injury That Shouldn’t Be Overlooked

Wayne Rooney, Manchester United: Rooney is expected to sit out the second leg of Man U’s matchup with Schalke at Old Trafford to rest a hamstring injury after missing training on Tuesday. Javier Hernandez is also expected to be rested, leaving Dimitar Berbatov and Michael Owen to handle the striking duties.

Game Of The Day

Dallas Mavericks at Los Angeles Lakers (-7, 187)

Notable Quotable

"It's tough when your best player is limping off the court with an injury that you know he's had before. It's tough, but right now, we have a game on Wednesday in less than 48 hours." - Bulls center Joakim Noah after Derrick Rose rolled his ankle again in Game 1’s loss. Rose practiced Tuesday and should start again on Wednesday, but this is starting to become a reoccurring theme and he isn’t attacking the hoop like he normally does.

Tips And Notes

Atlanta’s Jeff Teague got the call to start at point guard for the Hawks in Game 1 with Kirk Hinrich possibly out for the entire series and had a huge hand in the upset. He booked 10 points and five assists. However, it was his quickness and tenacity that was the real difference as he kept Derrick Rose in check all night at the defensive end of the floor. Chicago’s NBA MVP was just 11-of-27 from the field.

It looks as though the Detroit Red Wings are set to shake things up as they head home trailing the San Jose Sharks 2-0. Coach Mike Babcock split up linemates Pavel Datsyuk and Henrik Zetterberg during Tuesday’s practice. Zetterberg skated with Dan Cleary and Todd Bertuzzi, while Datsyuk was with Johan Franzen and Tomas Holmstrom. Detroit has scored just two goals over the first two games of the series.

Toronto Blue Jays slugger Jose Bautista sat out Tuesday’s game against Tampa Bay with a sore neck and was scheduled to undergo an MRI. The early word is that he could be out of action for at least a couple of days, though more will be known once the results come back. Bautista is off to a blistering start with nine home runs and a .357 batting average so far.

Hondo, bearing down on a four-figure red number, was flogged with the favorites last night as the Reds and L.A. Seligs combined to drive his deficit up to 940 tenaces.

Tonight, Mr. Aitch will send Cahill to the mound to slow the Tribe -- 10 units on the A's. Also, he doesn't expect Mr. Wilson to get menaced by the Mariners -- 10 units on the Rangers.
