I am not saying you are wrong, but in all due respect I would have to
see that 135-88 record documented by one of the major sports monitors and also what his record is over a longer period of time.
ps On another forum someone has him at 1-18-2 of late, which is even worse.
I'm not saying 200 plays is conclusive, but it's a pretty good sample size, and, as far as monitors go, I don't necessarily trust them, either, including that one in Oklahoma. Who is monitoring THEM? One of the great things about therx is that you can go back pretty far and see how a capper did. I'm sure you're aware that past posting isn't allowed here(and you can see from the time stamp on given selections to make sure they were given before game time anyway), so go back to about early December, chart Burns' plays, and see for yourself.
I don't have time to check each day since December if that is the only way to do it.
I do know that for a number of years I have written down the picks each day of folks I consider noteworthy including Burns and correct them to see how they do each day.
My overall opinion of Burns in spite of the disaster of late is that he is slightly better than average-if he wasn't so stubborn and fade nearly 100% of the time no atter how good the bet was on its own merits, it would be better.
Imo extremes are bad including basing ALL of one's bets on going against what the majority thinks is not smart-there has to be some equilbrium/balance.
Burns NEVER or at best hardly ever goes with a winning or losing streak always goes against the streak or at best passes because others are going with the streak.
When you have a unbalanced and stubborn/one way mentality like this, disasters like we have just seen with him can and do ensue.
I wouldn't expect you to pore through all the games back to December, I'm just saying that they are there if one wants to see what's what-furthermore, impressions can be faulty, cold hard numbers that are truthfully delivered are not, and, though he sucks dead donkey dick right now, even including the present disaster (and you are right that he seems to be Mr. Contrarian on almost every bet, though not necessarily last night), he is definitely still well ahead for the period I tracked.
Ok-fine. If it works for you, thats all that matters.
He definitely is way too one sided in his approach for me.
Oh, in no way was I advocating following just Burns, he's just one of several cappers I've tracked over the last several months, some are dropped-like Vegas Runner, as I mentioned-and ones that appear promising are added. Sounds like you are doing something similar. Good luck to you!
