I think both teams are sort of in a desperation spot, obviously LA more than the Phillies, but do the Phillies want to come home with Myers who at any given time can be terrible, Moyer who got shalacked last game, or Blanton is has been decent isn't a guarantee! I think the Phillies realize this and will do what they need to do to get the win!
