I am taking the Astros for another win vs the Cardinals tonight. I have a nice pitcher trend for the Astros that says Roy Oswalt is 12-0 SU since 2005 season at home and line less than -175 and his opponent is on a 2 or more game losing streak. Plus, I have the Cardinals as 1-11 SU since 2008 as a favorite after a 5+ run loss. Take the Astros for the sweep.

Profile: Boston has struggled to hit of late, but I feel that they are going to come out of their slump tonight. Texas starter Vicente Padilla has pitched worse at home than on the road, including a few recent outings where he gave up five runs against both Minnesota and the LA Angels. In addition, he gave up 21 hits and 3 home runs in those starts as well. Boston has faced him already this season, so their line-up will familiar with his stuff. Meanwhile, Clay Buchholz gets the start tonight in place of Tim Wakefield, who recently got put on the DL. Buchholz pitched very well in the minors, and he had a good outing against Toronto in his first start since being called up. In addition, he grew up in Texas, so I expect him to be very motivated to have a strong performance tonight. He also pitched a shutout against the Rangers last season as well. Look for Boston's offense to score enough runs against Padilla to get the win.

Tim Lincecum has had a Cy Young season so far entering here 10-2 with a 2.27 ERA, but as good as that sounds he has been even better of late at 1.74 in his last three outings. Lincecum, unlike most pitchers, has pitched even better on the road where he brings a 2.13 ERA and a 5-1 road record into this one. Those numbers sound great, but they don't out-distance Jair Jurrgens by much as Jurrgens has posted a 2.77 ERA on the season himself. These pitchers combined average a 2.77 ERA against the respective teams they will face tonight, so they have high caliber numbers vs the lineups they will face here. These teams have also combined for a 28-12 mark to the under when the total is set from 7-8.5, and I will go with the UNDER in this one.
