Why would bringing the line down signify the play is the over? If the sharp money was the over, wouldn't they raise the line high enough to get people to play the under and balance it out?

not neccesarily...give u another example that happenend earlier in the evening...take the ohio state/Mich game...about the same % on the over (60ish %) yet that line opened at 126 and went off at 129 at tip off...game landed at 126 (72-54)...in this situation we have the opposite occur...the line went the other way...from high to low (142 to 140.5)...im not sure this was any "sharp" play that would cause this to happen...im not a big believer that sharp play or late steam can ever dictate a play unless its in the absolute "go against" category of when % exceeds 75-80%...same thing happenend with the previous games i mentioned (Bos/Dallas on Sunday and SA/Utah last nite)....either way, i've been following (or tracking) this type of line movements, especially on totals, and it has been pretty profitable so far...heck it even got me a win last week on Sac State, arguably the worst team in cbk...
