Mr A

Milwaukee Brewers at St. Louis Cardinals

The Brewers have won the last six meetings versus St. Louis and five of the last seven at Busch Stadium.

Milwaukee's Ben Sheets (11-7, 3.75 ERA), is 1-2 with 3.32 ERA in his last three starts. The right-hander is 5-14 with a 4.20 ERA in 25 career starts versus Milwaukee.

St. Louis' Todd Wellemeyer (11-4, 3.79), is 3-0 with 2.33 ERA in his last three starts. The right-hander is unbeaten in his last eight starts.

Take the Cardinals' with Todd Wellemeyer on the hill to quiet the Brewers bats. Milwaukee's ace Ben Sheets is currently struggling and the Brewers have lost eight of Sheets’ last 10 starts versus the Cardinals.

WUNDERDOG

Oakland at Los Angeles Angels
Pick: Game Total UNDER 7.5-120

The wheels have really come off for the A's as they are just 9-29 over their last 38 games. The reason is quite simple - they don't score! They have scored just 106 runs in their last 38 games, or 2.8 a game. The Angels offense has suddenly gone cold as well plating just 34 runs in their last 11, or three runs a game. Now they face a hot pitcher in Greg Smith who has a 1.72 ERA in his last three starts. The A's must face John Lackey, who is amongst the AL Leaders in ERA. Lackey has allowed three runs or less in 14 of 18 starts, and this game looks to be similar to last night's 2-1 score, so we will play UNDER here

Arizona D-Backs vs. San Diego Padres

Total 7 under-105

1 Unit PLAY on D-backs/Padres UNDER 7 (listing Webb)
With Webb on the hill, you can bet that the Pads won't be scoring many runs. With both teams playing at pitcher friendly Petco, I don't think we'll see more than 3 runs scored by the winning team - very similar to yesterday's game which ended up 4-2. The Under is 5-1 in Webb's last 6 starts vs. the Padres, 4-1 in Webb's last 5 starts overall, and 4-0-1 in the Diamondbacks last 5 overall. The Under is 8-2 in the Padres last 10 home games, 10-4 in Padres last 14 when their opponent scores 2 runs or less in their previous game, and 4-0 in Padres last 4 home games vs. a team with a losing road record. Bet the UNDER.

Toronto Blue Jays (67-63) at Tampa Bay Rays (79-50)
(R) Roy Halladay (15-9, 2.68) vs. (R) James Shields (11-7, 3.68)

Both Roy Halladay and James Shields has been successful against today? opponents, but the Blue Jays have had problems with the Rays. Tampa Bay has won ten of the last 13 meetings against Toronto and seven of the last 8 in Tampa Bay. Go with the Rays at Tropicana Field. Tampa Bay is 43-11 in their last 54 games at home, 47-18 this season.

out of curiosity... if a specific game has a high capper consensus (alot of legit touts are on it) is this is a good or bad sign... feel like people have done this experiment before and its usually bad right?

GAME: New York Mets @ Philadelphia Phillies Aug 26, 2008 7:05PM
SPORT: Major League Baseball Picks
PICK: New York Mets

REASON FOR PICK: The Mets and Phillies play a brief two-game set this week in Philadelphia, with the Mets owning a half-game lead in the NL East. The Mets took FIVE of six games with the Phillies in July, including a three-game sweep in Philadelphia. Can the Mets put last year's collapse (owned a seven-game lead with just 17 games remaining) behind them? A two-game sweep here would surely be a good start. Pedro Martinez gets the call for the New Yorkers and while he's only won two games in his last seven starts (team is 4-3), he's pitched very well. Martinez owns a 2.88 ERA over that stretch, which began with a win at Philadelphia where he went 5.1 innings while allowing five hits and two ERs on July 7. The ageless Jamie Moyer (11-7, 3.54 ERA) gets the nod for Philly and the lefty is hoping he can finally get some support from his teammates. Moyer's posted a splendid 2.66 ERA over his last 14 starts but is a modest 5-4 during that span (team is 7-7), as the Phillies have scored four runs or less in all but ONE of those 14 starts. He'll likely need some support to win here, as he's facing a New York team which has gone 26-14 vs lefties this year (averaging 4.9 YPG). However, that support may not be coming, as the Phillies are just 14-14 at home vs righties in '08, averaging a modest 3.9 RPG. Take the Mets.

Am I the only one who has had a rough couple of weeks. Even with solid bankroll management it has been a slow steady ride in the shitter of late..

I feel you, I've also been getting hit really hard the past couple of weeks. Lost about 11k of my bankroll for football. Its like even when these services go 2-2, you end up losing a lot and whats more frustrating is when you go 4-2 and still end up losing!!!

Aloha fellow rx community:

Now, the last time I mentioned something about Mike Rose... a couple guys got on my case because it sounds like I'm his campaign manager or something. I don't know who Mike Rose is... I'm from Hawaii... thousands of miles away from whereever he is... All I know is for some reason... I've been following a lot of guys who are probably BETTER in marketing than this guy and they've all let me down.

MIKE ROSE has been delivering consistent winners and thanks to CAN'T PICK A WINNER for posting them DAILY!

Last week he had one bad day in MLB... think he went 2-2... last week he swept 3 days out of seven... won they other 3 and only pushed out 1 day...

Yesterday.. he gave:

Mike Rose (MONDAY's PLAYS)

MLB 3* Cleveland Indians

MLB 3* Astros/Mets over 8.5

MLB 3* Diamondbacks/Padres under 6.5

MLB 2* Oakland A's

ALL WINNERS!!! AND TWO OUTRIGHT DOGS!!!

NOW I DON'T WANT TO JINX THE GUY BY SHARING THIS WITH YOU ALL... because he doesn't seem to be the most asked for or popular guy in this forum... but hey... I believe all of you are like myself... looking for winners...

Aloha from the land of Pineapples!
Agree that Rose is solid, and for those interested in longer term statistics he is well documented for the season at thesportsmonitor. And I second the thanks for posting the picks!
