NBA

Under 178.5 Bulls-Heat (1.0 Units) - Game 3's total was set at 179 but it barely went over thanks to a streaky second half Heat team that put up 53 points. The total ended up at 181 and became our first loss in a long streak for the NBA. We like the Under again. If it wasn't a good play, why would the oddsmakers make Game 4's total even lower today, albeit just a half point. As we've said many times, the games tend to go under as the series progresses. Especially for two strong defensive teams. The exception would be the first game in any home court for exactly the reason in Game 3 where the home team had a streaky 2nd half. That should not happen here in Game 4. Nice tight game will equal nice tight under. We have no play on the side

Florida Marlins vs. San Francisco Giants
Both the Florida Marlins and San Francisco Giants will be eager to get back to the diamond to battle one another on Tuesday night after both clubs came out victorious in their first Interleague action of the season over the weekend.
By taking two of three at home against the best road team in baseball (Tampa Bay Rays), the Marlins let it be known once again that they aren’t going anywhere in the highly competitive NL East and should be in it the whole way through provided they stay healthy. Entering this three-game series with the defending champs, the Fish are 26-19 and have made MLB bettors upwards of $645 on the year; the best mark in the NL. Manager Edwin Rodriguez’ outfit has taken care of business away from sunny/rainy Florida scoring wins in 12 of their 19 overall road tussles ($723).

Since getting swept in their mini two-game series at Colorado, the Giants are yet to lose having taken two at Chavez Ravine against the hated Dodgers before returning home and sweeping their rivals by the Bay (Oakland A’s) through the weekend. When the dust cleared, manager Bruce Bochy’s squad once again sat atop the NL West standings with a 3.5-game lead over the Colorado Rockies. The reigning World Series champs are the 2nd most lucrative team in the NL ($643) and own a dominating 13-5 ($725) record at AT&T Park.

The Giants dominated last year’s season series with the Marlins winning five of the seven overall meetings; they swept a three-game series at Sun Life Stadium but only split the four-game series when the teams met up on the left coast in late July. Florida has won each of Ricky Nolasco’s L/5 starts against NL West opposition, but the Giants are a perfect 8-0 the L/8 times Matt Cain pitched on five full days of rest. The ‘over’ is 5-0 the L/5 times Cain tossed at the Marlins line-up.
PICK: Giants/Marlins OVER

WUNDERDOG (MLB)
1 OF 13

Game: Arizona at Colorado (3:10 PM Eastern)
Pick: Arizona +155 (moneyline)

The Arizona Diamondbacks were not supposed to be a factor in the NL West. We have crossed the quarter pole and the D-Backs are hanging tough, and have moved to the .500 mark for the season. Arizona has been very good offensively, and consistent as well, ranking No. 4 of the 16 NL teams in scoring 3 runs or less the least amount of times. Colorado started the season red-hot, but after getting out of the gate at 11-2, the Rockies have been a poor 12-20 in their last 32 games. The gap between these clubs is a lot narrower than the odds posted here, and right now Arizona is the better team.
Play Arizona in this spot.
