The Mighty Quinn - New York Daily News (streak L2)

Mighty made the amateur mistake of calling Dan Quinn (bartender at Shine’s Bar in Long Beach, not the Falcons head coach) at halftime of the Super Bowl with the Falcons up 21-3.

“We’re in Dan. I told you the Quinn/Quinn/Ryan connection would bring us luck. Dan Quinn is the head coach of the Falcons, your name is Dan Quinn, I’m obviously a Quinn, and the guy who relieves you at Shine’s on Saturday nights is named Ryan. I’m calling him Mikey Ice Ryan for now on. Enjoy the second half. We can’t lose.”

The Great Mighty Quinn jinxed himself!

Correction: My bad, the New York Daily News should get credit for the Mighty Quinn, and not the New York Post who proudly prints Hondo.

Analysis:
I'm playing on MARQUETTE. The Golden Eagles have had this one circled and they'll have payback on their minds. You may recall that they blew an 18-point halftime lead in a January game at Hinkle Fieldhouse.*

Marquette's Andrew Rowsey was quoted as saying: "... we owe them something from last time we played at Hinkle."

While I respect the Bulldogs, I believe that the Eagles are catching them at the right time. While the Eagles are off a confidence-bui›lding double-digit win, the Bulldogs check in off back-to-back home losses.*

While Butler has outscored teams by a modest 72-69 margin on the road, Marquette has dominated teams by a 85.5 to 69.8 average score in going 11-2 at home.*
