Analysis:Two teams went into last Saturday's action unbeaten in the Big West and had home game games to remain unbeaten. Well they both floundered. UC Irvine was mauled by UC Santa Barbara while Long Beach State flew into the Islands and crushed Hawaii. The Anteaters are back in action and take to the road against Cal Poly's Mustangs. Look for Mamadou Ndiaye to be dominant down low in the paint and UCI to stretch this game out and win by 7-15 points. Alex Young & Jaron Martin need to knock down open shots and i œf they are focused the Anteaters win by 8-12 points at Mott Gymnasium. Cal Poly has a few go to guys like Davis Nwaba & Reese Morgan but the chemistry has not been there for the Mustangs as they have dropped 6 of their last 8 games and 9 of their last 12 contests. I expect Russell Turner to have UCI ready to roll tomorrow night.
Poly also has 3rd leading scorer Joel Awich listed as questionable with an undisclosed reason for tomorrow night....this line was at UCI minus up 3 1/2 and literally just dropped back down to 3....I'll lay it with the best team in the Big West!

Analysis: Lobos should even up the Season series with a win at The Pit in Albuquerque. Noodles Neal should have Lobos ready to roll comi šng off a road win at Boise State on Saturday. That was the same day I was with my daughter at the Thomas & Mack watching the Rebels get physically beat up by San Diego State. Couple that with the loss of UNLV's steadiest player, Ben Carter who tore his ACL and the Rebs are facing a tall task. Elijah Brown & Cullen Neal should get some good looks tomorrow and I expect the Lobos to get one of their runs at home that they usually do and win this game by 7-14 points.
