Virginia +1.5 even for 2 units
This line seems like a trap line at first glance, but I really think Virginia takes care of business in a hostile environment tonight and there is definitely value in this ML, I will stick with the points though. Virginia has bounced back from losses very well this year. They really struggled in the second half of the UNC game, and I think they bounce back strong tonight, especially defensively after giving up their highest point total of the season with 70 at UNC. They will really try to lock down tonight, and for a very mediocre Clemson offense that goes through extended stretches of stagnancy, I think they will have a very tough time getting good looks throughout this game. While Virginia is without their prominent big man Sene, he was also out in the most recent match-up between these two teams and Virginia still managed to maintain a 34-19 edge on the glass. Furthermore, Clemson has UNC on deck and they are coming off their best offensive efficiency of the year as they shot 58% en route to a 20 point blow-out against Wake Forest. It will be very easy and likely for them to have a let-down game here. I know Virginia will be without Harris, which will definitely hurt them offensively, but I think Virginia wins this game due to their defense as opposed to offense. They are going to pound it in to Mike Scott all game, and hopefully they can knock down some long range shots as well to balance their offensive attack.
