Houston +8.5 over LOS ANGELES LAKERS 10 Dimes
This is a value pick. You simply don't want to pass up 8.5 points worth of chalk against a troubled LA team. Meanwhile, Houston has been quietly good lately, going 6-4 in their last 10 and losing only 2 games by more than 8 in that span (Orlando & San Antonio). I believe that Houston is currently playing better, more team oriented basketball than LA. Kobe had zero assists last game! Zero! I know the man can get to the rim and make things happen, but this could be a disturbing trend developing for the Lakers. Gasol has been a non-factor recently and Odom needs to step up as well. I think defending Odom will be the key for the Rockets in this game. He scored 25 against them early this year in a loss and will have to be accounted for in Tuesday's matchup. Pencil Kobe in for 30-35, but look for Scola, Battier and Martin to put up double digits and get others involved. I expect LA to drop to 10-16 ATS at home and suggest a 10 Dime play on it.

Pittsburgh vs. NEW YORK RANGERS UNDER 5 (+115) 10 Dimes
Pittsburgh already has trouble scoring on Lundqvist. Factor in all of their injuries and this one should be a tight one. On the other side of the puck, Fleury has been brilliant of late, allowing only 2 goals or less in his last 6 starts. (Including 1 SO) Root against the points in this Tuesday Night skate.

Ball St. +2 over MIAMI (OH) 10 Dimes
Roll with the points in this one. Ball St. has had a rough last three games, but I look for them to bounce back against an inferior Redhawks team. Davis and Scaife aren't going to stay cold forever, and what better opportunity is there to get your touch back than against a soft defense like Miami. (nearly 70 points against per game) Mia OH. is also 3-8 ATS in their last 11 home games. Take the 2 points and expect an outright win by the underdog.
Creighton -3.5 over BRADLEY 10 Dimes
Bradley is a horrible 0-11 in conference play and now they have to square off against a Conference heavyweight who has beat up on them year after year. (Bradley is 2-8 SU vs. Creighton in their last 10). Creighton (6-5 in Conference play) hasn't play the greatest on the road this season, but they have covered every game except for one. Bradley has to be demoralized, while Creighton should come in focused and ready to regain a chance to make a run in the MVC. This is a huge mismatch in every measurable statistic, matchup, you-name-it. As long as Creighton holds up their end of the bargain, they will be looking at 11-1 ATS in their last 12 Away games and we will be looking at 10 extra dimes!
New Mexico -3.5 over AIR FORCE 25 Dimes
New Mexico comes in fresh off of a huge win over the one man wrecking crew BYU. They also just beat TCU by 25, a team that was favored over Air Force just a couple days ago!!! Now, Air Force is a solid 9-2 at home and New Mexico is a dismal 3-5 on the road and I think these stats, while quite alarming, work to our advantage. After taking a quick look at these numbers, the public will be all over Air Force. This only helps our cause, keeping the line reasonable for NMU. This is one of those situations where you have to look at talent and matchups. (Ignore the trends for all intensive purposes) NMU is clearly the more talented team, possessing more offensive contributers. They are coming off of 2 big wins and gathering a third against a truth-be-told, average Falcons team should not be a hard task. Lay the 3.5 (or 3 if this one dips any lower) and lets cash our first big play of the month!

-Other than Ohio St. Penn St. may be the next best team in the Big 10. In their last three games they shattered the spread by an average +8.5 points which means not only have they been covering but they have been easily.
Creighton -3.5 Over BRADLEY 25 Dimes
-I have to agree with Carrera on this one. Creighton already beat Bradley by 13 on 1/19 and I have no reason to believe the outcome will be much different. The Blue jays are also an impressive +6.17 in their last three games ATS.

-Entering SEC play the Rebels have been awful losing five out of six with their only win coming vs LSU who lost their last four by 22 or more. Tennessee beat Ol' Miss by 16 on Saturday and look for the Wilcats to do the same tonight.

The Toronto Maple Leafs closed the first half of the season on a sour note, dropping their last three games. The Florida Panthers didn't find themselves closing out the first half any better as they dropped five of their last six, despite the fact that three of those were on home ice. So each of these squads open the second half struggling and desperate for a win. The Panthers are not exactly coming off elongated rest thriving, as they are 8-22 in their last 30 after three days off or more. They have also not done well as a dog of +110 to +150 where they are just 16-39 in their last 55. The home team here has taken the edge in this series at 4-1 in the last five, so I'm backing Toronto to get it done tonight.
