Today we are on the Rangers PL (+155) over Carolina. New York has started the season 10-2, and a large reason is the lowest goals against average at just 1.7 in the NHL. Lundqvist has been outstanding in net, but he is getting plenty of defensive support. In thier last 8 games, New York is 7-0-1 having given up just 9 goals. At home tonight, they get Nash back in the lineup. In recent meetings, they dominated Carolina and won 6 in a row.
Tonight in NCAAF , we are on Toledo -4 over Central Michigan. The Rockets are an impressive 7-1, with the lone loss conmig last week against Northern Illinois. The Rockets are scoring 36 ppg, and Ely has done a solid job of leading them. Toledo has two huge areas'of advantage tonight. One is at running back where Swanson has run for 723 yards, a 7.5 ypc average, and 5 TD's. The leading rusher for CMU has just 248 yards, so that makes the team a bit one dimensional. The second is the defensive unit for Toledo is much better and gives up just 18 ppg.
Today we are on Cleveland -6 over Utah in the NBA. The Cavs lost on opening night, and now have run off six in a row. James has been the scoring leader, and in his last couple of games has averaged 30 ppg. He is getting plenty of support from Love who has 5 double doubles in 7 games, and Dellavedova who already has 67 assists. Although Utah plays great half court defense, they are not nearly as athletic as Cleveland who has not lost a game at home.
Today we are on OKC -5 over Washington. This game features several top guards in action. With Washington, you have Beal and Wall, who both are averaging 20 ppg. With OKC, you have Westbrook who can matchup with anyone in the NBA. Washington has shown huge lapses in defense, and that combined with almost 20 turnovers per game, is not a recipe for success. OKC has much better depth up front with Durant, Ibaka, Kanters and Adams.
