Matchup: Arkansas State at LA-Lafayette Time: 8:00 PM EDT (Tue) Play: LA-Lafayette (-4 -110) Line Source: CarbonSports Posted on: October 22, 2012 @ 12:38:30 AM EDT I made UL-Lafayette a 9.5-point home favorite for Tuesday's Sun Belt game versus Arkansas St. The Ragin' Cajuns have won all three home games by scores of 40-0 over Lamar, 48-20 vs. FIU and 41-10 vs. Tulane. They are in bounce-back mode after letting a 20-6 third-quarter lead get away last week in a 30-23 loss at North Texas. Arkansas St. has lost two of its three road games, losing in blowout fashion at Oregon and at Nebraska. Give me the single-digit home favorite as I expect Terrance Broadway to lead to his team to the win and pointspread cover by getting it done throwing and running. |

Matchup: Arkansas State at LA-Lafayette Time: 8:00 PM EDT (Tue) Play: Arkansas State (+4.5 -110) Line Source: BetOnline.ag Posted on: October 23, 2012 @ 10:00:03 AM EDT It's a little worrisome that the Red Wolves are 0-4 ATS in their past four meetings with the Ragin' Cajuns, and that Ark State is just 0-3-1 ATS in their past four meetings at ULL. However, Lafayette was banged up in their last game at North Texas, a 30-23 loss, losing WRs Javone Lawson (wrist) and Harry Peoples (shoulder) to injury. They're both considered question for Tuesday's game, and if they don't play, they leave a huge hole in the passing game. Ark State has lost three games, but two of those losses came at Oregon and at Nebraska. No shame in that. Their other in-conference loss was a 26-13 setback against Western Kentucky, which is no shame, either, the way the Hilltoppers have played. ULL is coming off a seven-point setback at North Texas, and they have failed to cover three of the past four. |

Matchup: Arkansas State at LA-Lafayette Time: 8:00 PM EDT (Tue) Play: Under (62.0 -110) Line Source: Stations Posted on: October 23, 2012 @ 10:00:03 AM EDT The under looks like a strong play in this Sun Belt battle Tuesday night under the lights. The under is 18-4-2 in Ark State's past 24 games against a team with a winning record, and is a solid 23-8-1 in their past 32 road games. More recently, the under has cashed in three of their past four games this season. For ULL, they're a little banged up at the receiver position. Inexperience wideouts playing, and/or more of a focus on running the ball, will help the under, too. The under has cashed in each of the past two Lafayette games, anyway. Lastly, four of the past five meetings in this series have gone under. It might not necessarily be Chicago-Detroit proportions, but a lower-scoring game should be in the cards. 62 is a bit high. |
