Stu's 500 Dime High Roller Club No Brainer (SF1)

Cincinnati (-3) at South Florida (123) - 7 p.m. EST

Cincinnati laid an egg at Syracuse Sunday afternoon and coach Mike Cronin let his players know it. He ripped them a good one and now look for them to respond with a solid effort in this win and cover over a decimated South Florida team minus three starters. Guard Jesus Verdejo, the team’s second-leading scorer and top three-point shooter, is the latest casualty as he injured his foot in Saturday’s 14-point home loss to West Virginia, the team’s sixth consecutive double-digit loss. Overall the offensively-challenged Bulls have dropped nine of their last 10 on the scoreboard. They rank last in the Big East in scoring (59.4 ppg), FG percentage (39.9), free throw percentage (59.2) and are second-to-last in three-point percentage (29.4). Dominique Jones is good, but he can’t do it by himself. Cincy is 18-11 SU and needs this win, plus a win over visiting Seton Hall this weekend and then a win in the Big East Tournament to get in the Big Dance. They have won and covered four of their last five at South Florida. The Cats (2-0 SU/ATS as a foad chalk of three or less) also haven’t been entirely terrible on the road with wins and covers at Georgetown, St. John’s and DePaul this season. Look for Deonta Vaughn to have a big game and for the Bearcats to respond to their coach’s challenge as they show up from the start tonight and cover this small price with little problem at all.

Stu's 100 Dime ACC No Brainer (SF2)

Wake Forest (-1') at Maryland (151) - 9 p.m. EST

As far as Maryland is concerned, they just can’t be trusted offensively as the Terps have no reliable scoring option after super guard Greivis Vasquez, On the other hand, Wake has plenty of scoring options and have proven such in winning and covering two straight despite a pair of off games by Jeff Teague (24 combined points). Al-Farouq Aminu, Chas McFarland, Ish Smith and James Johnson are all capable of stepping up to carry the load. The Deacs have won four of their last five on the scoreboard (late loss at Duke) and will dominate inside against the tiny Terps, the only ACC team with a negative rebounding margin (Wake is third in the conference in rebounding margin). Wake is also tops in the league in shooting while Maryland is second-to-last. With just one senior on the roster, the Senior Night advantage is negated and Maryland (0-2 SU/ATS playing on one day’s rest) is off a hard-fought Sunday night win at N.C. State. Meanwhile, Wake was solid in winning by double digits at Maryland on Saturday and the Deacs will score this road win and cover.

Stu's 50 Dime College Hoops Bonus Winner (SF3)

Utah (137) at New Mexico (-4) - 9 p.m. EST

The Lobos have won seven straight at home overall and six straight at The Pitt against the Utes and New Mexico will cover this small price tonight. Utah is 0-3 SU/ATS on the road against the MWC’s other top teams (BYU, UNLV, San Diego State) and last year they lost by 10 at The Pitt. New Mexico had the Utes on the ropes in the first meeting, but went scoreless the final three minutes and ended up losing by one on the road. Back at home on Senior Night, look for senior Tony Dandridge, who leads four scorers in double figures, to come big as New Mexico pulls away for this win and cover.
