Enjoy Cavs-Celtics! Bet on Bucks to Win and Nuggets/Warriors to Slow Down

The front end of the
TNT Doubleheader should be a great game with the
Boston Celtics hosting the
Cleveland Cavaliers.
LeBron gets his guys up for these big games (12-6 vs Top Ten teams), and the Celtics may be missing
Paul Pierce (who has a bad thumb and the flu! - do they have a doctor in Boston to keep these guys healthy?) But, the line may have been adjusted too far, giving Boston 3 Points (down to 2 1/2 in some places), so I'm just going to enjoy the game. But, fear not, I've found an edge in the other two NBA games.
Take Milwaukee Bucks in Pick'Em at Indiana Pacers. This game jumped off the books, looking almost as easy as last nights
Pitt v. Notre Dame Match-up! And, you know what happened there. It was the ugliest game I've seen in a while; certainly the worst game the Panthers have played this year -
all with Notre Dame missing their top scorer! At Pitt -1, the game was heavily bet on the Panthers side. I looked to figure out if we all fell into some type of trap, but I haven't found it (and I'm not big on conspiracy theories). Which brings me to the
Bucks game? It's deja vu all over again! OK, not completely, because
Danny Granger will, it appears, be putting on his Pacers jersey and playing (he scored 20 points in
Chicago last night after previously missing the
Dallas game for "personal reasons"). But, the
Milwaukee Bucks are playing good basketball. Last night they
moved into a tie for the 7th Playoff Sport with the
Miami Heat (they were in the 9th spot just a couple of days ago) by defeating SU and ATS the
New Orleans Hornets, who are also trying to remain playoff viable in the West. It was the Bucks
4th straight victory, giving them a 7-3 record in their last 10 SU and ATS. They've
played well Against the Spread on the Road all year (62% - the same, by the way, that they play at home), and they are
4-1 ATS in their last 5 road games. The
Indiana Pacers, who have nothing left to play for as a team, finished a long 1-3 road trip last night by losing to Chicago. They've been beat by the Bucks twice this year SU and ATS. Yet, this game went up a Pick'em! Maybe the Pacers are being given something for a revenge game, but I don't see that at this stage of the season. And, I can find all kinds of reasons to move the line in the other direction. Of course, as a Pick'em game, the early money is heavily on the Bucks. I'm going to follow it.
Take the Bucks to Win.
Take Under 227 in the Nuggets/Warriors Game. These two teams have lit it up in the 3 previous games they played this year with
Totals of 241, 245, 244 (Denver won all three)! And, while the numbers aren't in the stratosphere, they've played some high scoring games with others -
in their last five games, the totals have averaged 214 Points. But, tonight is a good opportunity for this number to come down - maybe still high, but below 227. How many more players can the
Golden State Warriors lose and still put up these kind of points? Now,
Corey Maggette -
their second leading scorer - has been added to the long list of fallen warriors (he has a hamstring injury and is expected back, maybe late next week). The
Denver Nuggets have not played since Sunday when they put up a big win against the
Boston Celtics. They should come out a little sluggish. Plus, earlier this month, the Nuggets
followed big emotional wins against the Lakers and the Cavaliers with sluggish offensive performances (in fact, they lost both games). They are on national TV (TNT) but you can bet the
Nuggets are already thinking about their nationally televised game Sunday vs the Lakers (they play Detroit in between).
Take the Under 227 in the Nuggets/Warriors game.
