Notre Dame beat Duke 11-7 in Durham, NC back in late February. Duke likes to play fast with a good offense (Crotty, Max Quinzani) and Notre Dame wants to get into a defensive battle with their star goalie, Scott Rodgers, who is 6'4" and 250 pounds. The Irish have won three impressive games in the tournament over Princeton (8-5), Maryland (7-5) and Cornell (12-7). That's just 17 goals in the three matches. It should be hot on Monday afternoon and Duke is a deep team that could get ahead and make Notre Dame play from behind but I like the chance of a close game ending with an 8-7 score.
