New Addition to Service Play Forum..Specifically for posting additional topics.

The Rx.com Mod Team has created this Service Play sub-forum in order to supply an area for Rx Service Play Posters to expand upon their posting topics without creating a logjam in the main forum where the three principle threads are maintained..

Posters can track services here if they care to but we will need any trackers to do so in an accurate and civil manner. We did not create this area for posters to ridicule or bash any services..

You can also discuss who is hot and who is not. The general state of the pay for plays industry and any other subject or topic related to service plays.

You can also create individual threads about specific services and discuss them freely but civilly. Again bashing and abusive treatment of any services will not be tolerated.

Please remember, this forum is not here for regular posters who cap their own games to post ther daily plays. Please use our individual sport forums to post your plays. Professional cappers (those that sell plays) must remain in the Site Promotion Forum.

The Rx.com will not tolerate posters that post false records of any services they track. Please be truthful if you decide to track a particular service.

Lastly The Rx Moderators are appealing to you our everyday posters to report any promotional threads or posts that are made by services or individual touts. No links or contact information to an individual service will be allowed. Just the name of the service. Please report any threads or posts that are promotional attempts by services and touts to use this forum to promote themselves..

Posters can easily report a promotional post by using the triangular Report-a-Post Icon at the bottom left of all post boxes. The poster name of any poster who reports a post that is out of line will be kept strictly confidential.

I will leave this thread open for a month to take questions and do my best to answer them. I will check in daily but am off on Wednesday and Thursday.

I hope this additional Service Play Forum will satisfy those posters that would like to widen the scope of topics relating to service plays and the industry in general to have their own threads. Mods will be liberal as possible regarding topics but this forum was specifically created to allow you more freedom to express your ideas regarding service plays and related subject matter. No off topic threads will be allowed.

Thank you, wilheim

PICK 'N' ROLL

Sunday's Best NBA Bets

Milwaukee Bucks at Atlanta Hawks (-9.5, 185.5)

Atlanta may have finally learned the secret to beating Milwaukee in Game 6 - the Hawks have to work just as hard as the Bucks.
Talent alone has not been enough, as the Hawks quickly discovered after letting their guard down with a 2-0 series lead. The Bucks went to work, winning or tying the battle on the boards and scoring an average of 103 points in Games 3-5 with a chance to close out the series at home in Game 6.
But the Hawks snapped out of it Friday night, outrebounding the Bucks 51-42 and playing lock-down defense to hold them to series-low 69 points. Al Horford's 15 points, 15 boards and defensive presence along with sixth-man Jamal Crawford's game-high 24 points forced Game 7 in Atlanta.
"The bottom line today is we brought our hard hats and not our fishing caps," said Atlanta's Josh Smith, who added 10 points and nine rebounds. "We established ourselves early. They gave us a fight, but we were just hungry tonight. I haven’t seen us play like this the whole series."
That's because they haven't - until now. The Hawks finally learned the valuable lesson of hard work they're not likely to forget it in Game 7. They may not cover the almost-double-digit spread, but look for a similarly strong defensive effort.

Pick: Under

Utah Jazz at Los Angeles Lakers (-7, 202)

The Lakers were taken to the wall by the upstart Thunder in their Western Conference quarterfinal, winning Game 6 and the series on a tip-in at the buzzer by Pao Gasol on Friday night.
As close as the series was and as bad as the Lakers looked at times, a good scare may have been just what they needed to raise their level of play. A 4-0 sweep would have prolonged their sense of entitlement.
"It was great for us to get through this, to know that we're not the best thing since sliced bread," Lakers center Ron Artest said. "We know we have to work. We learned we can't fall asleep."
Utah Jazz has the Lakers' full attention, and L.A. has history on its side. The Jazz have been knocked out of the playoffs by the Lakers the last two postseasons and haven't won a game at the Staples Center in their last 14 tries.
Utah got by without starters Andrei Kirilenko and Mehmet Okur against the Nuggets and point guard Deron Williams, who orchestrates the Jazz offense, is questionable with a sore elbow.
It all adds up to a hot start for the Lakers at home.

Pick: LA Lakers

NBA NEWS AND NOTES
Hawks-Bucks Preview
By Kevin Rogers

The lone Game 7 of the NBA's first round takes place with a familiar team, as the Hawks play their third straight Game 7 in the opening round, hosting the Bucks. Atlanta staved off elimination at the Bradley Center on Friday with an 83-69 victory, limiting Milwaukee to 11 third-quarter points.

Neither team shot well in Game 6, but the Hawks used a 19-2 run to open things up, while scoring their least amount of points in a victory since an 80-75 win at Dallas in early December. Jamal Crawford picked up the scoring slack with 24 points off the bench, which was ten more points scored than the entire Milwaukee bench. Joe Johnson bounced back with 22 points after fouling out late in Game 5, while Al Horford produced another double-double with 15 points and 15 rebounds.

The Bucks won't win many games with John Salmons and Brandon Jennings combining for 20 points on 6-28 shooting from the floor, including a dreadful 1-12 from three-point range in Game 6. Milwaukee has been limited to 92 points or less in four of the six games in this series, as the Bucks are averaging 89.6 ppg in three games at Philips Arena.

The Hawks have been pushed to the limit for the third consecutive season, but are hosting a Game 7 for the second straight year. Atlanta took top-seeded Boston to the edge back in 2008 as the home team won all seven games. The Celtics demolished the Hawks, 99-65 in the final contest, easily cashing as 14 ½-point 'chalk.' Last season, all seven games between the Hawks and Heat were decided by double-digits, as Atlanta eliminated Miami, 91-78 as 5 ½-point favorites.

The last time the Bucks faced a do-or-die game in the postseason was back in 2001, when Milwaukee actually played a pair of Game 7's. The Bucks, coached by George Karl, and led by the trio of Glenn Robinson, Ray Allen, and Sam Cassell, ousted the Hornets in seven games in the second round to advance to the conference finals. Milwaukee went down to the finish with Philadelphia, but the Bucks were ousted by the Sixers in Game 7 by a 108-91 count.

Since the expansion of the first round series to the best-of-seven format in 2003, this is the 11th instance in which a series has been extended to a Game 7. The home team has been favored in the first ten contests, going 8-2 SU/ATS, with the two losses coming by Houston (to Utah in 2007) and Boston (to Indiana in 2005). The total hasn't been decisive either way, as the 'over' and 'under' have each hit five times. In nine instances, the home team was favored by 6 ½ points or less, as the Hawks are laying nine points on Sunday. The only club that has been favored by more than nine points was Boston in 2008 in the Celtics' drubbing of the Hawks.

Atlanta is a solid 8-2 SU and 7-3 ATS at home off a road victory this season, while Milwaukee owns a 6-1 ATS mark on the road coming off a home defeat. The Bucks have been a strong 'under' play in this situation, finishing 'under' the total six of seven times. The Hawks are 16-7 ATS at Philips Arena against a team off a loss, including a 20-3 SU mark.

Atlanta is currently listed as a 9 ½-point favorite at most spots with the total set at 185 ½. The total is the lowest between these two teams since April 25, 1999, when the total was listed at 174 (game went 'under' as Hawks won, 85-70).

Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood:

Let's look ahead to the next opponent for one of these two teams, the well-rested Orlando Magic. Stan Van Gundy's club went 3-0 SU and 2-1 ATS against the Bucks, while going 3-1 SU/ATS versus Atlanta. The Magic is 6-1 SU/ATS the last seven against the Hawks, with the lone loss coming on the Josh Smith buzzer-beating dunk on March 24. The last five against the Hawks have gone 'under' the total, as Orlando has held Atlanta to below 87 points in each of the previous six meetings. The Bucks have dropped nine straight meetings in Orlando, while going 2-7 ATS at Amway Arena in this span.

The Western Conference semifinals get going following the Hawks and Bucks as the Lakers host the Jazz at Staples Center (3:30 PM EST). L.A. and Utah each won its respective series in six games, as these two clubs meet for the third straight postseason. The Lakers are a perfect 14-0 SU the last 14 home meetings with the Jazz, while going 10-3-1 ATS. In 13 of those wins, Los Angeles has topped the 100-point mark, meaning Utah needs to step up its defense if the Jazz wants to march on the conference finals.

HOT LINES

Sunday's Best MLB Bets

Los Angeles Angels at Detroit Tigers (-125, 8.5)

Sometimes confronting death face-to-face can change a man, for the better or worse.
When the Angels were in New York for a series in late April, a handful of team members witnessed the aftermath of a man who jumped to his death from the rooftop of their hotel. Starting pitcher Jered Weaver saw everything as the suicide unfolded.
"Weaver actually saw him (land)," pitcher Matt Palmer said. "As a believer in Christ, you have to sit there and pray for the man. You don't even know him, but you think about what he might have been going through and you're hoping that his family - or whoever he has - can somehow fathom what he did.
“As far as myself, it was an eye-awakening scene. Even if I have a bad day on the mound, it's nothing compared to what he just did."
Weaver got an up-close view of death and perhaps it provided him with a different outlook on life.
The righty is certainly pitching like a new man. Since the tragedy, Weaver has surrendered three earned runs in two starts (13.0 innings) while compiling 13 strikeouts.
Look for Weaver to continue to roll and the Angels to avoid the sweep Sunday.

Pick: LA Angels

Washington Nationals at Florida Marlins (-200, 8.5)

Tommy John surgery can sometimes ruin a pitcher’s career or it sometimes can revive it. Fortunately, the latter happened for Marlins ace Josh Johnson.
Since going under the knife after the 2007 season, Johnson is 24-7 with a 3.33 ERA. He ranks sixth with a career 3.39 ERA among active starters with at least 500 innings.
The big right-hander has totaled double-digit strikeouts in two of his last three starts and hasn’t given up more than two runs during that stretch. Johnson is 2-1 with a 3.19 ERA on the season.
And an added comfort for bettors backing Johnson is that the pitcher is a threat in the 9-hole. Against the Padres last Wednesday, Johnson went 3-for-4 with three RBIs at the plate.
With the hefty price tag on the home team, a runline play will likely cash but taking the Fish straight up is a safer bet.

ICE PICKS

Sunday's Best NHL Bets

Montreal Canadiens at Pittsburgh Penguins (-300, 5.5)

The Penguins were able to do in Game 1 what the top-seeded Washington Capitals couldn't do in Games 5-7 against Montreal - beat goalie Jaroslav Halak like a bongo.
Unlike the usually high-scoring Caps, who went 1-for-33 in power-play opportunities against the Habs, the Pens converted all four chances in Friday's 6-3 victory. Perhaps more impressive was the fact that six different players scored goals - none of them named Sidney Crosby.
That was the Pens' plan of attack in Game 1 - spread the puck around against the Habs' neutral-zone trap and use shots not just to score goals, but also to create them.
"We're going to take a different approach to scoring goals than Washington did," Penguins coach Dan Bylsma told the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. "Montreal looked pretty comfortable playing its game."
The Caps were held to 10 goals from players not on the top line in their series. The Pens are already halfway to that number and have a history of wearing down goalies over the course of a series. Since 2008, they are 23-7 against opposing goalies in the playoffs after Game 2.

Pick: Over

Detroit Red Wings at San Jose Sharks (-145, 5.5)

Ever hear the one about going to a hockey game and a soccer match breaking out? That's what happened in Game 1 when Sharks forward Devin Setoguchi took a flop more fit for the pitch than the ice.
Setoguchi was the victim of a slash at the end of the second period but his acting performance helped gain a two-man advantage that the Sharks converted into the game-winning goal for a 4-3 victory. Red Wings coach Mike Babcock questioned his heritage, if not his manhood, after the game.
"That's a slash for sure, but don't dive on the ice and embellish it," Babcock told the Detroit News. "You are from Western Canada, don't do that crap."
Perhaps the manner of the loss moreso than the loss itself should be enough to fire up the Red Wings, who had a similar slow start in their Western Conference quarterfinal opener at Phoenix before bouncing back in convincing fashion with a 7-4 victory in Game 2.
The dramatic gesture might inspire the Red Wings, who are 11-5 in their last 16 meetings against the Sharks, to bring their hard-nosed brand of hockey into this one, and it's not an act.

Pick: Detroit Red Wings

Hondo

Hondo went one-for- four yesterday but the "one" was a bomb with the Royals that overwhelmed his losses with the Mets and Astros as well as his Derby selection, Jackson Bend.

Today, with the debt down to 50 belinskys, Mr. Aitch will try the Good Weaver over Zoolander in Detroit -- 10 units on the Angels.
