Matchup: Denver at Oakland Time: 4:05 PM EDT (Sun) Play: Denver (-10.5 -110) Line Source: The Greek Posted on: November 8, 2014 @ 3:30:04 PM EST Oakland's overall losing streak has now reached 14 games, during which the Raiders have covered only five times. Derek Carr (11 TDs, 7 ints.) continues to show promise as the attack is being adjusted to exploit his strengths. However, far superior Denver has covered its last six games following a SU loss in the regular season, and you can expect an intense effort from the proud Bronco defense, which was fairly embarrassed last week in Foxborough. Oakland's DL and DBs have been thinned by injuries. Rookie QB Carr progressing for Raiders, but not ready to trade points with Peyton Manning. Play Denver Broncos |

Matchup: Atlanta at Tampa Bay Time: 1:00 PM EDT (Sun) Play: Atlanta (-2.5 -110) Line Source: Stations Posted on: November 8, 2014 @ 3:32:17 PM EST It's not easy to make a case for either of these NFC South stragglers, but we'll try. Though humiliation/revenge can be a strong motivator, not sure Tampa Bay is a very potent "avenger" after getting throttled 56-14 at the Georgia Dome on Sept. 18. Fundamentals sure looked bad that night for the Bucs, whose DBs couldn't stay with Matt Ryan's receivers (who caught 350 yards worth of passes). The Falcs haven't won SU since, but Tampa Bay hasn't won SU or even covered at home TY, either. Well-liked Atlanta HC Mike Smith survived his team's bye week, and the Falcs did hint at a revival for at least 30 minutes in London vs. the Lions. Prefer Matt Ryan to fire more scoring shots than reinstated Josh McCown. Play Atlanta Falcons |
Matchup: St. Louis at Arizona Time: 4:25 PM EDT (Sun) Play: Arizona (-6.5 -110) Line Source: The Greek Posted on: November 8, 2014 @ 3:33:03 PM EST This looked as if it were going to be yet another season of injuries and disappointing draft choices for the Rams, who haven't had a winning season since 2003. Then, St. Louis knocked off West powers Seattle in San Francisco within a three-week span. But the latter victory was about as ugly as you can get, with just one TD and 193 total yards in the 13-point St. Louis "out-pouring" at Levi's. That's 20 total points in the last two weeks for the horn-helmeted hord, which is playing an NFL-rare third road game in three weeks (and yet to cover two straight in 2014). Bruce Arians' young skill players continue to emerge, as quick RB Andre Ellington had 95 YR in Dallas, while 6-2 WR Jaron Brown caught his first TDP, further expanding an already-loaded WR corps. Matchup: Pittsburgh at N.Y. Jets Time: 1:00 PM EDT (Sun) Play: Pittsburgh (-3.5 -105) Line Source: CG Technology Posted on: November 8, 2014 @ 3:29:19 PM EST The "price" could be rising after consecutive blowout wins for the Steelers vs. playoff-caliber opposition (Indy & Baltimore), with Ben Roethlisberger connecting on a two-game NFL record of 12 TD passes! Quite a contrast in team-building in this one, as the Steelers have added the likes of Le'Veon Bell (711 YR) and WRs Antonio Brown (6th round), Marcus Wheaton (3rd round), and Martavis Bryant (4th round) in recent seasons. On the plus side for the Jets, Michael Vick did find tradee Percy Harvin and FA WR Eric Decker for 20 completions last week in a turnover-free game in K.C. But N.Y. lacks the DBs to match up with red-hot Big Ben and his versatile receivers. Play Pittsburgh Steelers |
