Comments: INDIAN COWBOY'S PLAY OF THE DAY: 4 Unit Play. #821. Take Umass +6.5 over St. Josephs (Sunday @ 2pm est). All good things come to an end and with any investment we had a slightly down week this week. No worries as we have still won 5 of 7 weeks in college hoops and cashed over 80 units for 2009. Nevertheless, I spent last night tinkering on the spreadsheets and looking forward to next week as each week is an opportunity to build. As per the matchup tonight, let's keep taking dogs that we believe we can win outright. These two teams hooked up in a low scoring match-up last time out as Umass fell 64-68 at home and now will look to exact some revenge on the road. I like the 6.5 here as UMass has done well on the road of late including losing to Xavier by just 2 points on the highway and losing to Charlotte in overtime by 5 points on the highway as well. Yes, this team lost to St. Bonny on the road but I believe that was a look ahead to Rhode Island at home. I believe Umass hangs tough here given the points and if they hit their free throws well, they will be in this game for a potential Outright on the road. This should be another exciting and dicey game, but I always like the 6.5 number with revenge so I will take my chances here in what is likely going to be a low scoring contest.
INDIAN COWBOY'S PLAY OF THE DAY: CHARLOTTE BOBCATS vs HOUSTON ROCKETS
Play: #807. Take the Charlotte Bobcats +6.5 at the Houston Rockets (Sunday @ 5:05pm est). (POD)
Comments: INDIAN COWBOY'S PLAY OF THE DAY: 4 Unit Play. #807. Take the Charlotte Bobcats +6.5 at the Houston Rockets (Sunday @ 5:05pm est). Let's stick to our +6.5 trend here and roll with the Bobcats on the road at Houston. After having won 8 straight weeks in the NBA, it looks this week will be a down week. But rather than push the envelope, let's just chalk up this week as winning 8 of 9 weeks and focus on cashing today and more importantly, next week and this month as we are still up positive units. This is always a long-term gig, so let's just keep focused and rolling. Houston was very fortunate to make a huge comeback against Dallas who shot miserably against them in the 3rd quarter. I don't see that happening today with the Bobcats who nearly defeated the Heat and Magic on the road Outright. Let's roll with Augustin, Wallace, Bell, Diaw, Okafor and company as they have been playing well, Jordan's team has covered 5 of 6 and comes off a home loss to Orlando as they were spanked far more than the 12 points indicate and with a Houston team banged up and with no McGrady or Landry, and new players in the mix, I like Charlotte to stay inside the number and the potential outright.
