Re: Northcoast, something fishy! BC gets shutout at home? Forget about the loss they were shutout at home against a team that can obviously be beat. VaTech is good, no doubt about it; but they can be beat and were by James Madison - it's not like they were the defending champs with the nations best defense. BC hasn't been shutout in at least 10 years. They scored single digits ONLY 4 times in the last 10 years - once last year at Clemson and 3 times to Miami-F in 2000, 2001 and 2002. 2002 was the ONLY time at home. To get shutout at home by Virginia Tech sure smells fishy.
Several years ago Phil Steele gave out his 5* and it got blown out. The strange thing was one of his best friends in the handicapping industry, Mike Lee, gave out the opposite side as his top game and he won. Again just found it kind of strange that his buddy released the opposite side as his top game that year - this was like 2003 or earlier because Mike died in 2004. I understand a difference of opinion but why would they both release it as GOY's and not just a lower rated selection. Too many strange things occur on his 5*. There was another one on WV/Md several years ago too! If you like his 5* play it as a normal play but never increase your play on a Phil Steele 5* If you win, great and if it loses it's just a regular play. Today's release was for the Vegas boys!
