Georgia vs. South Carolina

Jeff's SEC College Football 8 Unit Play!

Georgia -6.5

Georgia(1-0) at S.Carolina(1-1): The #6 ranked Bulldogs have not had much success in at S.Carolina and against Coach Steve Spurrier but with the improved defense led by linebacker Jordan Jenkins the Gamecocks might be in trouble since they have not run the ball well as Mike Davis only has 116 yards in 2 games this season. The Bulldog's running game is off to a great start with Todd Gurley looking like an early Heisman candidate with 198 yards and 4 TD's in a 45-21 win over Clemson. The Gamecocks defense has struggled after the loss of Deveon Clowney to the NFL allowing 37.5 points per game so far in 2014. Georgia beat S.Carolina last year 41-30 and S.Carolina is 0-4 ATS last 4 September games. The Favorite is 4-0 ATS last 4 meetings and I expect the Bulldogs to win this game by double digits. Prediction: GEO 34 SC 20. Georgia is a 8 Unit Play!

3 Units Central Michigan +6.5

Central Michigan is not used to getting teams from the “Big 5” conferences to visit Kelly/Shorts Stadium, but they will get that rare opportunity Saturday as Syracuse visits Mount Pleasant. The Orange are coming off a bye week, which they needed to regroup after skating by with a 27-26 win over FCS-school Villanova in the opening weekend of the season. The Orange were really outplayed in that game and Nova actually outgained them and had 25 first downs to Syracuse’s 21. That game was also marred by an ejection of Syracuse QB Terrel Hunt, who threw a punch late in the first half of that game. CMU has opened the season 2-0 on the season, highlighted with last week’s 38-17 win at Purdue. The Chipps featured their new running back Thomas Rawls, who transferred from Michigan, who rushed for 155 yards and two touchdowns. The CMU offense is led by QB Cooper Rush, who has started the season with solid numbers and they have the look of a team that is returning 11 offensive starters from last year. Syracuse had tons of problems getting their defense off the field against Villanova and this CMU team is a major step up in class for the Orange. There are some pretty solid trends that back the home dog in this spot and the majority of our computer models actually have CMU winning this game outright. That said, we will gladly take the Chipps at home getting 6.5.

EZ's Plays For Saturday

Three college football selections on my card for Saturday. I won't have a new iPhone until next week so plays will not be sent via text until I receive the new phone. Best of luck.

5* (152) South Carolina Gamecocks +6.5

I think their is a lot of value in South Carolina in this game. The Gamecocks were hammered by Texas A&M in week one and got by East Carolina last week. Georgia knocked off Clemson in week one and had a bye last week giving them a scheduling edge with two week to prepare, but knee jerk reactions has swung this line nine points. South Carolina was a three point favorite in this game before the season started and is now almost a full touchdown home underdog. Granted I don't believe that the Gamecocks are as good as their top ten pre season rank, but Texas A&M is also much better than the experts expected them to be. Georgia got a big win in week one, but Clemson is not the team that they were last year and still managed to give the Bulldogs a game well into the fourth quarter. I'll take the Old Ball Coach as a conference home dog in this spot as Spurrier is 13-7 against the spread in his last twenty games as an underdog. Take the points.

3* (189) UCLA Bruins -7

I went against the steam last week thinking the Longhorns still had enough talent to pull off the home win against BYU but that was not the case. This match up against UCLA is going to be very difficult for the Longhorns. UCLA has the talent to compete for a nation championship but the Bruins are yet to play a complete game. The offense was MIA in game one at Virginia, but I do contribute much of that to the long travel and early kick off time. Last week the offense got going but the defense gave up more points than expected against Memphis. I look for a complete effort this week against a very offensively challenged Texas team with sophomore quarterback Tyrone Swoops under center. The Longhorn defense has some talent, but if they are going to be on the field the whole game it will be just a matter of time before UCLA quarterback Brett Hundley and company start rolling. Lay the points.

2* (153) Arkansas Razorbacks +1

Texas Tech has a pretty good home field advantage, but I don't expect it to phase an Arkansas team that plays in some of the toughest SEC venues. The Red Raiders have a high powered passing offense, but I think Arkansas defense while not a great group, can get enough stops to win this game. Arkansas has a huge advantage when they have the football. The Hogs have one of the best offensive lines in the nation and should be able to run the ball can control the clock against a Red Raider defense that has all kinds of problems stopping the run. Tech allowed over 200 rushing yards per game last season and UTEP rolled up 277 yards on the ground last week in their 26-30 loss to the Red Raiders. The Red Raiders struggled in the home favorite roll last season posting just a 1-3 record against the spread. Also Big 12 favorites of three or less points are 2-6 straight up and against the spread when facing SEC opponents. Take the Hogs.

Boise State vs. Connecticut

3 Star NCAA FB Free Pick Boise State

The UConn Huskies lost their starting quarterback Casey Cochran to an injury. Chandler Whitmer is now the quarterback, and Whitmer has never proven to be a reliable option at QB in the past. Boise State got their offense going in a big way last week vs. a pretty good Colorado State team. At the same time, UConn was struggling to beat Stony Brook. UConn doesn't have enough weapons to keep up with this Boise State team. The line here is too short based on the West Coast team playing an early game in the East theory. It's overdone in many cases, and this Boise State team totally outclasses UConn. Take Boise State.

UCLA vs. Texas

10* Play On UCLA

Texas is 1-1, but has struggled this season while losing by 34 points to BYU last Saturday and their only victory coming as 21 point Favorites over an outgunned North Texas crew. Their main issue comes on offense, where they've been held to only 183 passing yards per game and a horrible 3.3 yards per rush during their first 2 games. Those low numbers are no surprise as they play under a new offensive system behind 1st year HC Charlie Strong. It's not a good time to have a "cold offense" as they host offensive powerhouse, UCLA, who's 2-0 and averaging 35 points per game and only expect to get better as they gel together. UCLA is 3-1 SU & ATS during the last four meetings in this series, and expect another win here as Texas struggled against much weaker teams and now steps up to face a solid PAC 12 squad.

Hondo

Hondo feels three-mendous

Hondo was denied the opportunity to improve his financial standing Friday when his Twin investment was rinsed in Chicago. Thus, the NRN (nasty red number) remained at 1,600 aparicios.

Saturday: Mr. Aitch will take another shot with Bad News Hughes and the Twins and mix in some action on Greene and the Yanks as well as Salazar and the Native Americans. Ten units apiece.

Esquire Picks

We only have one NCAAF pick this week and I am a bit disappointed that I didn't send this pick out last night like I wanted to. Last night we had Boston College at +19 now they are +17. What I am saying is, get this pick in NOW before it drops again......

Bottom line is this, Stanford should have destroyed USC last week but instead Stanford shot themselves in the foot in the red zone 5 times(just like last season) and made this USC team look stellar. Everyone thinks USC "handled Stanford" and they DID NOT. Stanford was our top pick last week and I watched that game from start to finish and I saw a USC team that should NEVER be a -17 point favorite. I am not buying into USC covering the 17 points this week.

Boston College +17 ($2,000) TOP NCAAF PICK OF THE WEEK
