Ben Burns TV TOTAL OF THE MONTH *6-1 L7 (Saturday afternoon)
I'm playing on Philadelphia and Arizona OVER the number.

With both starters entering with ERA's above five, I'm expecting another high-scoring affair this afternoon. *TV Total of Month

3*** WASHINGTON BALESTER -R +1.5 Runs, -145 Over Houston

The Nationals trail the Major Leagues with a record of 36-58 in the National League East Division under their Manager Manny Acta. They have won two out of their last three events however, benefiting from good pitching. 21 year-old Rookie Colin Balester (1-1, 5.06) makes his Home debut here, and he kept his team in the ballgame in both of his starts through five innings. The Nats look to keep winning into the All-Star Break versus a rival they are 10-4 against lately.

The Astros under their Manager Cecil Cooper trail the National League Central Division with a record of 42-51 on the season. They may have lost Ace Oswalt for a bit as he aggravated a hip injury last evening. Wandy Rodriguez takes the mound for the Astros tonight. They have lost seven of the Lefty's last nine starts. Other negative trends for the Astros here include 14-21 versus losing teams, 20-30 on the Road, and 30-37 versus Right-handed starters.

The Run line overnited at Nationals +1.5 Runs, -145.We'll take those Runs and the Home Nats.

Game: Arizona at Philadelphia (3:55 PM Eastern)
Pick: Philadelphia -1.5 runs +160 (runline)

The Phillies were a hot team then ran cold, but now have won three straight and are back on track. The Phillies have been tough all season long against LHP, and have won 11 of their last 15 at home against southpaws. The only thing that keeps Arizona in the hunt is that the NL West has been so mediocre. The D-Backs have trouble staying in games on the road, and when they face .500+ teams on the road they are a woeful 4-16! Randy Johnson is a fraction of what he once was, as the D-Backs have just one road win to show for his seven starts. With an abysmal ?Unit? on the hill for the D-Backs plus the way the Phillies? lineup has pounded LHP, especially at home, Phillies get a comfortable win in this one.

Been following your forum for a while, even tho I'm a small fish in a big pond when we got our 1/4 bonuses last week I asked all my employess to pitch in 30 for services and 50 for plays. We got 3 services that said we would lose our money if we posted them but put then all together so who knows what. You big players may laugh but we put 30 on the 8 big plays yesterday (3-5) & 20 on the 8 smaller plays (6-2) plus 4 20 parlays on top & middle flat & o/u. Hit the Pit, SD, Clev, Tor unders parlay for 240 which is 1.5 days pay for me & 2 days pay for them. OK so far. Today have no o/u, but Cubs -1.5, Phils, Tor, Det, and a Cubs -250 with Red Sox -200 parlay from them. Good luck, Bill
