Double-dime bet – 920 DET / 919 CWS – OVER 9
Analysis: I’m playing the Over between the White Sox & Tigers on Saturday afternoon. When John Danks takes the mound we normally see plenty of action on the bases and plenty of runners crossing home plate. Danks has been an absolute mess in June and White Sox opponents have scored 30 runs in his four starts. When you consider his hefty ERA in 24 starts against the Tigers, including a 5.86 ERA in nine starts at Comerica, there’s no reason to think he won’t get lit-up again. Lefty Kyle Ryan takes the mound for the Tigers. Ryan has been smacked for nine earned runs and 16 base runners in his last 10 2/3 IP. Both bullpens leave a lot to be desired and I expect a higher scoring game than the books have posted. The Sox enter on a 10-0-1 Over run with Danks when the total is in the 9 to 10.5 range. Meanwhile, the Tigers are on a 7-0 run to the Over in divisional contests. More of the same. I’m playing the Over between the Sox & Tigers on Saturday, my Total Dominator.
