5-Unit Play. Take #604. Take Over 187.5 Tulsa Shock vs. Phoenix Mercury (Saturday @ 10:00pm est)
Tulsa and Phoenix had a great contest the first time they faced each other. Tulsa was still getting used to its new rotation at that point, but still played a competitive game and fell short 96-110 as the game went well over the posted total. Now, I'm not saying that 206 points are scored again in this ballgame. But, I will say that Tulsa comes in with revenge and they are not intimidated by Phoenix anymore as they were in game one. This team also does not have a great deal of defense and Phoenix should have their way on the offensive end. But, Tulsa does have some offensive firepower and they do bounce-back well. Remember, this team comes off a 75-87 loss to San Antonio on the road, as they were an active dog in San Antonio and that game went to 163 points. This is the same team that beat Minnesota and Indiana at home and they indeed do have some bite. Remember, Minnesota and Phoenix just hooked up for a ballgame in which its final score was 99-88 as 187 points were scored. Tulsa is actually a better team than Minnesota and with their respective revenge, I expect them to push this game over the posted total. In fact, I actually expect Tulsa to cover the spread here, but more importantly, I like our double-digit dog to be competitive and indirectly push this game over. The Over is 4-0 when the Shock play the Western Conference and the Over is 4-0 in the Mercury's last four home games.
4-Unit Play. Take #910. Take Under 9 Washington Nationals vs. Cleveland Indians (Saturday @ 7:05pm est)
One of the things you learn to respect in this game is a good bullpen. This is because no matter how well you handicap a game, a good bullpen is vital to protect what you handicapped. And, that is the case you have with the Nationals bullpen who continue to be as solid as they come. The Nationals are competitive this year as they are 30-32 and they send JD Martin to the mound.
