He has been around since sports services started back in the 70's, and that is one of the reasons he is a household name to gamblers.
That said, he uses all of the scamdicapping tactics know to man; imo over time, he is about average, no more and no less-I will say though in all fairness and in his behalf he is not as bad a scamdicapper as is Stu Feiner. lol
Professional gamblers bet the same amount on most of their games. Not very often do they vary wager amounts. So one way to tell if a guy is legit or not is whether or not he titles or labels his games. There is no such thing as a game of the year. And said game is no more likely to cash the ticket than any of yours or my 1 unit base play. Oh, and there is also no such thing as "due," especially when it comes to the Wayne Roots of the world.
Yes, they get ahead, establish credibility, but if they get too hot they cannot go on... they tank. Some of the capppers were "hot" (Ind-Cowboy, College Funds, Trushel, Burns 2 wks ago, for instance) caused too much commotion so they slowed it up. They are not giving their best picks to the customer that pay $ 59... they toy with those. The "real" touts give their best picks to high rollers who pay big bucks.
