ya we had this discussion last week and like you was really tempted to buy the package. but I can't bet during the day so not worth it.


The books/vegas must subscribe to RAS' totals as that's the only. It's not even that RAS posts early lines, he makes his picks well into the day and then moves the lines. I'm going to start tracking him on how he does once the lines move and see what happens on the games he picks with the 'adjusted' book lines. see if there is value in betting at that point.

Sorry for the clutter, CPAW, but I thought this would be useful info.

I did it using last year's results. Not enough data to be really significant, but you can see some definite trends. The differences vary a lot by month. In Nov and Dec, basically once you get beyond 2 pts of his pick, it gets pretty close to 50%, but even at 2 pts or less difference he's money. January and beyond it stabilizes a lot more, but even at 2 pts difference he did well. Feb and March he became more mortal and you definitely wouldn't want to bet anything but his line.
