The Rx.com Mod Team has created this Service Play sub-forum in order to supply an area for Rx Service Play Posters to expand upon their posting topics without creating a logjam in the main forum where the three principle threads are maintained..

Posters can track services here if they care to but we will need any trackers to do so in an accurate and civil manner. We did not create this area for posters to ridicule or bash any services..

You can also discuss who is hot and who is not. The general state of the pay for plays industry and any other subject or topic related to service plays.

You can also create individual threads about specific services and discuss them freely but civilly. Again bashing and abusive treatment of any services will not be tolerated.

Please remember, this forum is not here for regular posters who cap their own games to post ther daily plays. Please use our individual sport forums to post your plays. Professional cappers (those that sell plays) must remain in the Site Promotion Forum.

The Rx.com will not tolerate posters that post false records of any services they track. Please be truthful if you decide to track a particular service.

Lastly The Rx Moderators are appealing to you our everyday posters to report any promotional threads or posts that are made by services or individual touts. No links or contact information to an individual service will be allowed. Just the name of the service. Please report any threads or posts that are promotional attempts by services and touts to use this forum to promote themselves..

Posters can easily report a promotional post by using the triangular Report-a-Post Icon at the bottom left of all post boxes. The poster name of any poster who reports a post that is out of line will be kept strictly confidential.

I will leave this thread open for a month to take questions and do my best to answer them. I will check in daily but am off on Wednesday and Thursday.

I hope this additional Service Play Forum will satisfy those posters that would like to widen the scope of topics relating to service plays and the industry in general to have their own threads. Mods will be liberal as possible regarding topics but this forum was specifically created to allow you more freedom to express your ideas regarding service plays and related subject matter. No off topic threads will be allowed.

Thank you, wilheim

Army Black Knights vs. Navy Midshipmen (-8,54)

Lincoln Financial Field will once again be the site of the annual Army/Navy game, as the Army Black Knights try to snap their lengthy losing streak to the Navy Midshipmen.

Will it be a day hearing a lot of “Go Navy! Beat Army!”? The Middies certainly hope so, just as has been the case over the course of the last eight seasons. The streak is certainly favored to push to nine on Saturday, as the Midshipmen have been the better team of these two for the majority of the campaign. The offense, at times, has been inconsistent, which has led QB Ricky Dobbs to have some very up and down numbers. Dobbs didn’t nearly pull off this year what he did last season when he rushed for 27 TDs alone, but there is no shame in the 23 scores that he has accounted for in his senior season in Annapolis. Navy clearly has the ability to score at will, as it put 76 on the board against the East Carolina Pirates on the road and scored at least 28 in its final seven games of the season. However, those first few duds of the day that featured just narrowly escaping from Georgia Southern and scoring a combined 20 points against the Maryland Terrapins and Air Force Falcons gives cause for concern for certain.

Or, will it be a year of “Go Army! Beat Navy!”? The Black Knights know that the pressure is off this year, as they have qualified for a bowl game for the time since the 1996 Independence Bowl. They’ll be taking on the SMU Mustangs in a couple of weeks, so for the first time in a long time, this game is one with little to no pressure attached to it. QB Trent Steelman failed to get his team to a bowl game last year, something that would have been accomplished had the Black Knights won this fixture here in the City of Brotherly Love, and he is going to want to make amends for it this season. Unlike Dobbs, who at least has a few options to throw the football to, Steelman really has to play from ahead. He is significantly better served just staying in the triple option, as this team ranked dead last in the country in passing for the mass majority of the campaign. The defense is going to be absolutely imperative in this one, as the Cadets ranked No. 25 in the country in total ‘D’ at a shade over 330 yards per game allowed.

Navy probably has the better offense in this game, but the more consistent defense belongs to the Army. The men from West Pointe haven’t been able to celebrate anything but coming at least a little closer to beating the Middies in recent years, but that all changes on Saturday night. The Black Knights get the job done and take care of this dastardly eight game losing streak in one of the best American traditions of the year.

Pick: Army Black Knights +8

PICK 'N' ROLL

Saturday's Best NBA Bets

Utah Jazz at Dallas Mavericks (-3, 39.5)

Can anyone stop the Dallas Mavericks right now. Maybe the 16-7 Utah Jazz?

The Mavs are on an 11-game winning streak and the Jazz already had one shot--at home--to end the streak at seven last Friday night. But Dallas went into Utah and came away with a 93-81 victory.

Dirk Nowitzki scored 26 points in that showdown, but it was the Dallas defense that stole the headlines. It held the home team to 39.2 percent shooting, including 3 for 14 (21. 4 percent) from three-point land.

No team has shot better than 50 percent against the Mavs and they have held opponents to less than 40 percent shooting six times. They have allowed a total of just three quarters of more than 30 points and they have held the opposition to fewer than 20 points in a quarter on 19 occasions.

"When (Jason Terry) is active defensively and playing the way he can within the system, it lifts the other guys up," explained head coach Rick Carlisle. "And Dirk's had a good defensive year, too. It starts with your better players."

Pick: Dallas Mavericks

Minnesota Timberwolves at Chicago Bulls (-9.5, 205)

The Chicago Bulls have won four in a row, even though they are not necessarily playing their best basketball. They played sloppy basketball on Wednesday in Cleveland and they almost blew a 13-point fourth-quarter lead on Friday (albeit against the Lakers).

Good thing Chicago has Derrick Rose at its disposal. When all else fails, go to Rose.

The second-year star had 29 point and eight assists against the Cavs and he torched Los Angeles for 29 points and nine assists. Rose put both games away late in the fourth quarter, sparking a 14-3 run to end the game in Cleveland.

"He does it time and time again," teammate Kyle Korver said of Rose. “He wants those moments. He's not just, ‘All right, I've got to try to do this again.' He really relishes it. He's done it with jump shots. He's done it with 3s. He did it driving to the basket."

The Timberwolves, meanwhile, are a dismal 1-11 on the road. The Bulls are 8-2 at home.

Pick: Chicago Bulls

Tennessee Volunteers vs. Pittsburgh Panthers (-8.5, 140)

Something will have to five when undefeated Tennessee faces undefeated Pittsburgh on Saturday.

Don't expect anything to give down low, though, because both teams are serious in the paint. The Panthers, who have always been known for their toughness inside, are out-rebounding opponents by almost 17 boards per game so far this season.

But they have not yet seen anyone like Tennessee. The Vols boast 6'8'' Tobias Harris (17 points and 6 rebounds per game), 6'10'' Brian Williams, and 6'9'' John Fields.

"It's a very experienced team; a lot of athleticism, good size, very good balance," Pitt head coach Jamie Dixon said of the Volunteers. "They play a lot of guys. They're similar to us in a lot of ways: they rebound well, they play hard, they defend. They're probably a little bit more experienced than us."

Tennessee was hoping to get 6'7'', 258-pound forward Jeronne Maymon back for this one, but he is still ineligible despite passing all five of his fall classes.

Pick: Tennessee Volunteers +8.5

Arizona Wildcats vs. BYU Cougars (-2.5)

Saturday's showdown between Arizona and BYU features an intriguing matchup between Derrick Williams of Arizona and BYU's Jimmer Fredette.

Williams was recently named Pac-10 Player of the Week by the conference's coaches. The sophomore forward notched a double-double against Rice and scored 16 points against Oklahoma, both Wildcat victories. Williams (20.2 ppg, 7.6 rpg) also had 22 and 10 in a Wednesday victory over Cal-State Fullerton.

Fredette, a pre-season First-Team All-American, is equally electric. The senior guard is scoring 22.7 points per game and he enjoyed a stellar homecoming in Glens Falls, NY on Wednesday. He scored 26 points, including seven in a span of 27 seconds early in the first half, en route to a blowout of Vermont.

"I've been through quite a few homecomings as the coach, and this is the most unique and probably the best I’ve had a player act*ually play in one of these," said BYU head coach Dave Rose. "But that’s how special a player Jimmer is and continues to be."

Pick: BYU Cougars -2.5

Bettors’ Best Friend (BBF): Saturday's Wagering Tips

Who's Hot

NCAAB: The over is 7-1 in Tennessee's last eight overall and 7-2 in Pittsburgh's last nine overall.

NCAAB: Arizona is 7-1 ATS in its last eight overall.

NHL: The Thrashers are 8-1 in their last nine overall.

NBA: The Heat are 5-0 ATS in their last five overall.

Who’s Not

NCAAB: Indiana is 1-6 ATS in its last seven road games.

NCAAB: Gonzaga is 1-4 ATS in its last five road games.

NHL: The Islanders are 1-7 in their last eight home games.

NBA: The Cavs are 1-5 ATS in their last six road games and 0-6 ATS in their last six overall.

Key Stat

26.7 – That's how many three-pointers the Louisville Cardinals are jacking up per game so far this season. They launched 36 from long range in Wednesday's 61-35 win over San Francisco. Louisville (7-0) is going up against UNLV (9-0) in a battle of undefeated teams on Saturday. The Rebels, meanwhile, have allowed 45 second-half points in each of their last two contests; against Nevada last Saturday and against Boise State on Wednesday.

Injuries That Shouldn’t Be Overlooked

The Boston Celtics are still streaking, but that doesn't mean their injury woes are over. They played their first game of the season without both of the O'Neals (Shaq and Jermaine) on Thursday and struggled at Philadelphia, getting out-rebounded 39-33 but pulling out a 102-101 win at the last second. Semih Erden started at center and played 17 minutes, while Glen Davis came off the bench and logged 26 minutes. Jermaine (knee) will still be out on Saturday when Boston visits Charlotte, while Shaq (calf) is questionable. Kendrick Perkins, of course, is still sidelined by offseason knee surgery.

Biggest Game On The Slate

Utah Jazz at Dallas Mavericks (-3, 39.5)

Notable Quotable

"It was more of a big-picture conversation regarding schemes and what (the Dolphins) like to do. It's always helpful talking football with Rex (Ryan) because you spend so much time in offensive meetings and discussing our approach that it’s good to get a defensive perspective regarding what that side of the ball is trying to accomplish. It really enhances your overall football knowledge. I think it was awesome that he took the time to do it." -- Jets' quarterback Mark Sanchez after the first of what will be several lunch sessions with his head coach over the next two weeks.

Tips And Notes

Thrashers' goalie Ondrej Pavelec made his 11th consecutive start and 12th in the past 13 games when he suited up against Coloroado on Friday. With Atlanta on fire, it's been hard to take Pavelec out of the net, but that will finally happen on Saturday against the lowly New York Islanders. Pavelec, who has an 8-2 record and .960 save percentage in his last 10 games, will be replaced by Chris Mason. "It's been fun watching, but I'm definitely looking forward to getting back in the net," Mason told the Atlanta Journal Constitution.

Maybe all it took for former No. 1 overall pick Andrea Bargnani's game to take off was for Chris Bosh to get out of Toronto. Bargnani erupted for 41 points, seven rebounds, and six assists in Wednesday's 113-100 loss at New York He has pulled down at least seven in six of his past seven games is averaging just at 22 points a night during this stretch. "We found him different areas where he could be effective," said head coach Jay Triano, whose team visits Detroit on Saturday. "If there is a five playing him, then we spread the floor. If there,s a (swingman), we try to get him touches down low. His game is consistently evolving. His post play has been a lot better than it has been any other year."

Notre Dame won its first eight games of the season, averaging 81.8 points per game and shooting 45.3 percent from the field. But when the Irish faced their first ranked opponent in the form of Kentucky on Wednesday night, they lost 72-58. The Wildcats held Notre Dame to 36.4 percent shooting, including a dismal 20.0 percent in the second half. Next up for the Irish on Saturday is another tough opponent in Gonzaga. "This is a Big East week for us," said head coach Mike Brey. "We're gonna take punches like this in January and February. How do we react and get our legs under us when Gonzaga comes Saturday night? That's what our league has become for us."

Saturday's Best NHL Bets

Pittsburgh Penguins vs. Buffalo Sabres (106, 5.5)

Sidney Crosby and Ryan Miller, who will forever be linked by Crosby's gold medal-winning goal in the 2010 Vancouver Olympics, meet again on Saturday.

Ten months later, both guys are still going strong. In fact, Crosby was named the NHL's first star of the week for last week's games. The second star? Miller.

Crosby scored five goals last week, including a hat trick against the Atlanta Thrashers. He is on a 17-game point streak after putting two into the net in a 5-2 win over Toronto on Wednesday.

Miller notched back-to-back shutouts against Ottawa and Columbus last week, stopping all 51 shots he faced.

However, Miller has allowed three goals in each of his past two starts. The Sabres lost to Boston in overtime on Tuesday, but they put up enough offense to blow past San Jose 6-3 on Thursday.

Pick: Pittsburgh Penguins

Philadelphia Flyers at Boston Bruins (-127, 5)

Speaking of being linked, neither team will soon forget last season's playoff series between Philadelphia and Boston. The Flyers, of course, stormed back from a 3-0 deficit to defeat the Bruins before eventually reaching the Stanley Cup Finals.

The Bruins, though, have started to get revenge. They blanked Philly 3-0 last Wednesday with Tim Thomas--not Tuukka Rask--minding the net. Thomas is expected to get the start again on Saturday. Rask was in goal for Thursday's 5-2 win over the lowly New York Islanders.

The Bruins have outscored opponents 21-7 so far this month, going 4-1 in that span. The only loss came in Toronto when they blew a lead in the final minute and lost in an ensuing shootout. Milan Lucic, who scored twice on Thursday, has five goals this month and 15 for the season.

"I am taking advantage of my opportunities right now, and it's also nice to have a little luck," said Lucic. "It's a credit to my linemates. They are finding me when I am open."

Pick: Boston Bruins
