OKLAHOMA STATE COWBOYS OKLAHOMA SOONERS
9-2 November 28, 12:30 PM | Grass of Memorial Stadium 6-5
Yesterday we went against the line movement, handicappers,
big money, and most of the analysts, and you weren't disappointed.
I'm doing the same today.
Two of the most basic football selection factors are:
1) Strength of schedule:
Lots of mediocre teams crush the weaker ones, and then are embarassed
when facing superior talent. This works in many sports. Even with
my horse racing projections. I've seen so many well researched
handicappers lose money at the track, because their "hot horse" is racing
on a particular day.
But it doesn't matter how good or compromising a trip your horse had in
its last race, if the conditions and stock are different.
2) Ability to recruit leading to team depth:
Although their enrollments are similar, The Sooners have been considered major
league, while The Cowboys usually get the secondary athletes. In many years,
Oklahoma's 2nd stringers could be starters for Oklahoma State.
Most just think of The Sooners as a perenial powerhouse, that still has
some talent, and not this years 6-5 version with minimal minor bowl hopes.
So.... they are taking some money today.
My inanimate computer also has been affected.
It has Oklahoma winning by 16.
Oklahoma State gets talented QB, Zac Robinson, back today. If there are
any issues, his backup is capable. The Cowboys showed some
attitude, beating Colorado in their last. They are a little more rested, and
haven't played since November 19th.
Oklahoma just doesn't seem to have the heart. Their offensive line
was supposed to be a good one this year. It has never been consistently
effiective, and is now depleted by injuries. Lots of the other players
are hurting.
Take The Oklahoma State Cowboys + 8.
Have some fun and put a little on them to win
