PG, there is a trend i was told to always play.....when the higher ranked team is on the road AND an underdog, play the fav......this was too easy....all the public money was on Pitt (almost 80%) and yet line went from opening at pick em to ville by 2 at tip off....vegas set the line perfectly and the roaches all followed the trail to the motel.....there's a reason they're building new resorts and casinos out there, pete....the same scenario is being set up for tomorrows AFC championship....its seems like a bloodbath for ravens backers.....the funny thing is that the $$$ is still coming in on them.....the sharps took it to 5.5 and 6 and now the squares are gonna take it straight up their you know what without any further adjustment by Vegas.....i personally am gonna put a load on the steelers....
Yeah, I agree. If Louisville was unranked I would have made them a play since they were the fave (unranked fave vs. ranked dog angle), but given that they were ranked I didn't. I didn't realize that high of a percentage was on Pitt. I did see the line drop from Pitt +2' to Pitt +1', so I figured there was more action on Pitt.
And although I completely agree with you about line movements, let's be honest, Pitt choked that game away down the stretch. Vegas got it right, absolutely, but I don't know if that's the way they saw the game playing out when they were adjusting the lines.
I completely agree with you on the Steelers line. No way could I play Baltimore based on the line move in that game.
