ARKANSAS OVER 63.5
STAR RATING

DIME RATING
16.5 TO WIN 15
These two teams are more similar than than we may think. Both teams are built around QB's with the tools for the big play. Both are above average at protecting the passer. All the blueprints for a big number on a fast track.
The best Coaches in the college Football are able to exploit their opponents weaknesses.. Arkansas' weakness's is in it's secondary. It is going to take more than 1 full recruiting class to rebuild that defense. Skip Holts beat Houston by outscoring them. His defense surrendered 520 yards passing but managed to collect 4 turnovers. His defense is allowing 42% on third down. His offense is converting 42% on third down. Considering Arkansas is +13 on the turnover margin, he will need another big game from his senior QB to win today.
Ryan Mallett is the story of the 2009 NCAAF. He transferred from Michigan when Rodriguez got the job. He has thrown for 29 TD's and 7 int's. This against SEC defenses. He was been sacked 25 times this year. 14 of them came against BAMA, FLA, Miss and LSU. In 8 other games, he was sacked 11 times and threw 25 td's. He obviously plays to the level of his opponents talent. Ecu has really not stopped anyone of BCS level talent before.
Temperatures around freezing with mild winds. The public seems to be moving the line in Arkansas direction yet the total is set at 63.5. These defenses give up 250+ yards passing per game. Neither of these teams are time of possession teams. I see two teams game planning for a big number. Short of some really inopportune turn overs, this one flies over.
