“1 UNIT” NATIONAL LEAGUE PERCENTAGE TOTAL (Mets at Reds OVER 9 in a 7:10 eastern start-----Dickey versus Leake): Even though Cincinnati suffered a 1-0 loss last time Mike Leake was on the mound, statistically one has to write that off as an aberration. The fact of the matter is that Leake has received the MOST average runs per start of support (6.88) in the entire National League. Last night the Reds put together consecutive victories for the first time in more than a solid month as the offense is finally starting to break out of a collective slump. On Saturday that Reds offense tallied SEVEN runs in a single inning and put 5 more runs on the board last night against what is a very solid Atlanta pitching staff. We have one week remaining before baseball’s trade deadline and odds are strong that Carlos Beltran will no longer be in a Mets uniform. But for this moment Beltran is still a Met and he is in the same lineup as current National League batting leader Jose Reyes. During the weekend New York finally got back the services of David Wright who promptly hit .429 at the dish. In his career at Cincinnati’s Great American Ballpark Wright has hit .343 and homered 6 times. My research indicates that when the Mets have been cast as a small road underdog of 125-or-less they are a resounding 15-3 OVER the total on the ROAD
