3* MLB TOTAL OF THE WEEK! Astros/White Sox Under 7.5 -125 (McCullers/Sale)
Lance McCullers off his first career complete game, which can be a bounce situation. But he gets to go against a bad offense here and his stuff is so good that unless he has a bad control night, can't see the Pale Hose doing a whole lot here. As for Chris Sale, good luck to the Astros. Last five starts, Sale has allowed 19 hits in 38.2 innings, with a 6/53 BB/K ratio. He also has great numbers in his previous dealings with Houston, although I put little weight on that as the Astros are a better team now than in the past. Nevertheless, when he's on, and he is right now, Sale might be the best pitcher in the game, period. Runs look tough to come by here, and I'm taking this game Under.
Bonus Play Padres +125 (Kennedy/Miller)
Couple of big keys here. Kennedy off his best start of the season, hopefully the buy sign on him. Miller off his worst as he lost the strike zone, which was his old issue when with the Cardinals. The other is the bullpen, with SD having a big advantage there. That Braves bullpen has been terrible lately. That basically makes this a six inning game, as if we're just tied at that point, the Friars then become pretty good favorites. Good enough price as I feel it's inflated on the starting pitching. Anything +115 or better is playable here. Think this line goes down some in the morning, so the earlier the better would be my suggestion.
