Good thoughts RD - but how do we really know what the EV (expected value) of a team is on any certain night? Theoretically it can be mathematically stated - and that's why the computer boys and a few other "syndicates" hit it big - but I would expect there is a lot of work and statistics that you need to look at to create an EV for any team on any given night.

Now keeping in mind you need a little over 52% winning margin on standard vig, if you can come in at 55% and have enough $$ to move you can make a very good living, so we don't need to even come close to a large EV - just a small EV will do.

I think the EV is the morning line that the "experts" set. Everything else is $ moving the line. My bookie is also one of my best friends & has told me if a hoops gm. starts @ 3.5 & the $$ keeps rolling in, he'll push it as far as 7.5, huge middle. 1 win in 20 you break even, 2 you are doing well. Thx. for your imput, you know I always post positive stuff, sick of the negativity on this site. Hell, I hear people bragging about 55%, I hit 85% in the hockey playoffs. I must be the next coming! First of all, I said nothing about NSA. You don't get to invoke phony issues. I asked two simple questions.

If he has ever asked you to buy a play, I assure you he was being facetious because all of us know that you only ask that certain plays be bought for you, and that you do not buy plays. You are a freeloader. Probably the biggest on the net. I think there was a two-day period when you actually provided a play from YWN, but that ended real fast when you saw that others were providing the plays that you wanted.

Guys, I wrote the following previously:

I would really like to have your feedback on it if you don't mind. I know it is really hard to have a consensus about this subject but it would be nice to point the top 3/4 services in the market.

Hope you can help me out as I am relatively new to this "world" and I would like to learn a bit more.

I'm sure everyone will have a different opinion because everyone plays differently, but here is mine. I can only answer this from the perspective of a guy that has a defined bankroll, never bets more than 2% of it on a play, lowers the play size when losing and raises it when winning (as I am dividing my bankroll by 2% every day to determine play size).

I used to buy season packages for AJ Apollo from who2beton and was never disappointed. He is low volume (rarely more than three plays a day and mostly 2 plays) and plays strictly underdogs. I despise eating chalk so he was perfect for me. If you have no bankroll and absolutely need to win every day he is not the capper for you, but he churns out a lot of 1-1 days in MLB playing on average +130 underdogs, so he grinds out a great profit at the end of the season. You can check his records on their site and I can vouch for them, and the guy is in my opinion the only good capper on that awful site. His plays are posted here every day so you don't have to buy them.

The guy I play now is a guy I had never heard of until a few weeks ago, Indian Cowboy. He is also low volume, doesn't give out huge chalk, and claims to hit 60% every season on every sport. I don't know if that is true or not but I do know I respect his write ups and I can usually get a better line than he posts for his games, which is important for me because I hate line cheats. A few years ago I bought a CFB/NFL totals season package late telephone service from Joe Gavazzi. He would release the picks an hour before kickoff, and he used totals that didn't exist. If the total was 37 on a game at every book he would release it as over 35, and it used o drive me mad. I finally canceled a did a charge back because he was such a scam with his BS lines.

Anyways, good luck with whoever you choose, but I would think twice about any of the really high volume guys (with the exception of Vegas Runner, who I don't follow but I have heard nothing but good things about) or any of the youwinnow guys and their ridiculous chalk. To each their own, but I could never stomach playing minimum -150 chalk every day...
