Momentum in baseball is HUGE, coming off two 1 run games puts this team at a small fav to open the line. Bottom line is this, Angels own this team head to head 24-11 last 35 meetings, also Santanas 6-0 in his last starts against the M's. Though the M's want to end their problems now its not going to be too easy considering Washburn is 0-5 in his last 5 starts as an underdog, 3-13 following a team loss! On the upside the Angels are nailing game one of a new series the last 6 including Santanas going 4-1 when he pitches Gm 1. 4-0 in last 4 as road fav and 5-1 when their opp comes off a high scoring game. since Steve Carlton won 27 for the Phillies in a yr. when the Phils won 50+, they were -180 w/him and +180 without him. The line is just too rediculous to bet. Gm. should be -190 not -250. Public perception. Not losing back all the hard earned $ that we won in the playoffs on some fluke goal. Have a beer bet with my local pub keeper & put a flyer Det. -1.5 +110 with the over parlay for shits & giggles. Not a public play, doesn't go against my record.
