I'm working on turning baseball around, been a bit of a slow start compared to last year when we hit 8k in 3 months, but I'm working on the spreadsheets and looking for a 5-2 week this week. thanks.
4 Unit Play. #525. Take the Atlanta Hawks -2 over the Milwaukee Bucks (Monday @ 8:30pm est). The Hawks have always been a solid bounce-back team. As a Hawks fan, I can tell you that this team with leadership behind Joe Johnson and Coach Mike Woodson staying on their case typically bounce-back well. Heck, Coach Woodson's job could be on the hot seat if this team does not advance further in the playoffs as compared to years' past as the rumor is the Hawks have to advance at least to the Eastern Conference Finals if Woodson expects to keep his job. Otherwise, the Hawks are looking to get a headliner coach, possibly even Avery Johnson or someone else who is on the docket. Look for this game to be similar to the Cavs vs. Bulls game yesterday. Although the Bulls were able to win Game 3, the Cavs stepped up big on the road and bounced-back and took out some frustration as they take a 3-1 lead back to Cleveland. Similarly, I think the Bucks had a lot of emotion and came together at home as they won one game in this series and frankly, demolished the Hawks at home. I think the Hawks show more focus and resolve today as they get back on track with a big win on the road and take a 3-1 back to Atlanta as they will avoid breaking even in the series as going back to Atlanta tied with this team 2-2 would be seen as an utter failure in Atlanta. At the end of the day, this Bucks team does not have Michael Redd or Andrew Bogut and that does hurt their depth and efficiency. I like the Hawks to bounce-back today and the short lay is not a bad one to put down considering the ugly loss that this team took in their last ballgame.
4 Unit Play. #961. Take the Arizona Diamondbacks -107 over the Colorado Rockies (Monday @ 8:40pm est). Let's take the Diamond backs on the road today at the Rockies. Arizona played well in their series against the Phillies taking two of three to their credit and there is not too much juice on Dan Haren today. Haren, the Pepperdine graduate, is 2-1 on the year but he had a rough outing in his last effort. Haren gave up seven runs on nine hits and still managed to pick up the win as the Dbacks beat the Cardinals 9-7. However, I do think Haren bounces back here in Colorado as he usually does after yielding a significant amount of hits and putting together a non-quality start. The Rockies send Hammel on the mound today and they are 0-3 in his last three efforts and I see Jason likely having some difficulty against the Diamondbacks today. Let's take the Cards on the short line today.
