The Rx.com Mod Team has created this Service Play sub-forum in order to supply an area for Rx Service Play Posters to expand upon their posting topics without creating a logjam in the main forum where the three principle threads are maintained..

Posters can track services here if they care to but we will need any trackers to do so in an accurate and civil manner. We did not create this area for posters to ridicule or bash any services..

You can also discuss who is hot and who is not. The general state of the pay for plays industry and any other subject or topic related to service plays.

You can also create individual threads about specific services and discuss them freely but civilly. Again bashing and abusive treatment of any services will not be tolerated.

Please remember, this forum is not here for regular posters who cap their own games to post ther daily plays. Please use our individual sport forums to post your plays. Professional cappers (those that sell plays) must remain in the Site Promotion Forum.

The Rx.com will not tolerate posters that post false records of any services they track. Please be truthful if you decide to track a particular service.

Lastly The Rx Moderators are appealing to you our everyday posters to report any promotional threads or posts that are made by services or individual touts. No links or contact information to an individual service will be allowed. Just the name of the service. Please report any threads or posts that are promotional attempts by services and touts to use this forum to promote themselves..

Posters can easily report a promotional post by using the triangular Report-a-Post Icon at the bottom left of all post boxes. The poster name of any poster who reports a post that is out of line will be kept strictly confidential.

I will leave this thread open for a month to take questions and do my best to answer them. I will check in daily but am off on Wednesday and Thursday.

I hope this additional Service Play Forum will satisfy those posters that would like to widen the scope of topics relating to service plays and the industry in general to have their own threads. Mods will be liberal as possible regarding topics but this forum was specifically created to allow you more freedom to express your ideas regarding service plays and related subject matter. No off topic threads will be allowed.

Thank you, wilheim

MLB Betting: Milwaukee Brewers at Philadelphia Phillies
By: Stephen Nover

During a high-end Rotisserie baseball draft held at the Bellagio in Las Vegas right before the start of the season, a lucky owner grabbed Roy Halladay at the end of Round Two.

That same owner took Joe Blanton during the last round, to which another owner said, “You just nullified your Halladay bargain.”

So far those words are holding true.

While Halladay is 2-0 with a 1.23 ERA, Blanton is 0-1 with a team-high 10.45 ERA in two starts spanning 10 1/3 innings. He’s allowed 17 hits.

It’s because of Blanton, Philadelphia’s No. 5 starter, who keeps the Phillies’ rotation of Halladay, Cliff Lee, Cole Hamels and Roy Oswalt from being called the greatest ever by some.

Blanton will try to temporarily silence his critics when he takes the mound Monday at 4 p.m. PT as the Phillies begin a three-game homestand versus the Milwaukee Brewers. The 30-year-old right-hander probably is going to have to pitch well to win because Milwaukee is going with Shaun Marcum, who is 2-1 with a 2.55 ERA.

Marcum pitched for Toronto the last five years before coming to Milwaukee in an offseason trade. The 29-year-old righty was 13-8 with a 3.64 ERA and 1.15 WHIP last season while making 14 of his 31 starts against AL East Division opponents.

Marcum rebounded from a bad first start against Cincinnati to hold Atlanta and Pittsburgh to a combined two earned runs in 13 innings. He shut out the Pirates in seven innings this past Wednesday winning, 6-0, as a 115 road favorite against Kevin Correia. The combined six runs went ‘under’ the 7½-run total.

Marcum has faced the Phillies during interleague play going 2-0 versus them with a 3.46 ERA in 13 career innings.

Left fielder Ryan Braun has been hot for the Brewers. He was riding a nine-game hitting streak through Saturday.

Through their first 13 games, the Phillies had yet to lose consecutive times. However, the Phillies were batting just .218 while averaging 3.4 runs in their last five games entering Sunday.

Philadelphia defeated Milwaukee in five of six games last season going 2-1 at home. Blanton went up against the Brewers last May 15 as a 110 road favorite against Chris Narveson and picked up the win in a 10-6 victory.

Blanton won despite giving up three homers and five earned runs in seven innings. He has surrendered 57 home runs the last two years while posting ERA’s of 4.82 last year and 4.05 in 2009.

Philadelphia pitching coach Rich Dubee said Blanton’s problems this year are a matter of location. Blanton has allowed two homers this season. Blanton does have 10 strikeouts.

The Phillies are showing early confidence in Blanton as they could have skipped his spot in the rotation because of a rainout this past Saturday, although Roy Oswalt’s back injury in his last start may have factored, too, in the decision.

The Brewers went into their Sunday doubleheader against Washington having won five of the past six times when facing a right-handed starter.

Milwaukee had dropped six of its last eight road games, however. The Brewers return home on Friday to host Houston. They are idle on Thursday.

The Phillies begin a seven-game West Coast trip with a Thursday game against San Diego. After four games with the Padres, the Phillies travel to Arizona for a three-game series with the Diamondbacks.

The Phillies are 48-19 in their last 67 games against right-handers.

Both Milwaukee and Philadelphia had gone ‘under’ in four of their last five games before Saturday.

The early weather forecast for Monday’s game is temperatures in the high 50s with a slight breeze blowing out to right field and a 30 percent chance of rain.

Monday’s Best MLB Bets

Toronto Blue Jays at Boston Red Sox (-130, 9.5)

The Red Sox finally look like they’re coming around a bit as they get set to host the Blue Jays in the annual Patriots Day game on Monday morning.

It’s an early start set for 11:05 ET and the Sox come into the affair with a lot of momentum as they look to sweep the four-game set with Toronto. Boston’s bats have pushed across 18 runs in the first three games of the series.

"Once it starts to go all together, it'll be scary," Jarrod Saltalamacchia told reporters. "A couple of good days isn't good enough. We've got to put it all together."

That means they’re going to have to get a better effort from Daisuke Matsuzaka, who gave up seven runs against Tampa Bay in just two innings the last time he took the hill.

We think there’s some value in betting the Jays to avoid the sweep here.

Pick: Blue Jays

Cleveland Indians at Kansas City Royals (-110, 9)

What is going on with the American League Central Division anyway? The Royals and Indians have been two of the most surprising teams in baseball so far and will battle for the division lead this week in Kasnas City.

The Royals have won five straight and are just coming off an impressive victory over Seattle ace Felix Hernandez that saw Alex Gordon extend his hitting streak to 10 games while leaving the game with an AL-leading 22 hits.

When asked if he thought the club was surprising the baseball world, outfielder Jeff Francoeur told reporters, “Not many people. You'd probably be making some money in Vegas right now.”

"[Manager] Ned [Yost] said it [Saturday] perfectly," he added. "It's so early in the season you never worry about records. Just keep playing hard and you win ballgames and then in June or July you start looking at that stuff. For now, we'll just keep playing."

Meanwhile, the Indians got a big boost with Grady Sizemore returning to the lineup over the weekend and he didn’t disappoint by drilling a home run in his debut.

Expect some crooked numbers on the board.

Pick: Over

LeBron James, Heat battle 76ers in Game 2
By: Willie Bee

It's been a while since the Miami Heat opened a playoff series with a victory, almost five years for those scoring at home. Saturday's Game 1 battle with the Philadelphia 76ers almost followed suit.

Miami overcame an early 14-point deficit and withstood the Sixers' late charge to take a 1-0 lead in the series with a 97-89 win. The Heat now look to grab a two-nil edge in the best-of-7 series when they host Philadelphia for Game 2 on Monday. TNT will provide the telecast from AmericanAirlines Arena beginning at 4:00 p.m. (PT).

Oddsmakers have set Monday's spread at 9½ in favor of the Heat with 189 for the total.

The last time Miami started a postseason series with a win was May 2006 in the Eastern Conference Finals against the Pistons. The Heat went on to win that series and the ensuing NBA Finals versus the Mavericks.

Miami was 0-3 in Game 1's since then, having been knocked out in the opening rounds of the 2007, 2009 and 2010 NBA Playoffs.

Philadelphia started hot Saturday while Miami came out cold. The 76ers jumped out to a 20-8 lead midway through the first quarter and had no trouble finding the net while building a 31-19 advantage during the initial 12 minutes.

Meanwhile, the Big 3 for the Heat – LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh – struggled to score. The trio was just 2-of-9 from the field to start the game before things started to click. A 16-2 Miami run during the second quarter erased Philly's early edge.

Thaddeus Young's layup with a little more than two minutes left in the game brought the Sixers to within one at 88-87, but that's as close as Miami Thrice allowed the 10½-point underdogs to get.

Bosh led all scorers with 25 points while adding 12 rebounds. James also recorded a double-double with 21 points and 14 boards. Young paced Philadelphia with 20 points in 28 minutes off the bench.

Miami took the glass battle with a 52-39 advantage in rebounding, but the real edge for the Heat came at the free throw line where they outscored the Sixers 31-12. James, held to just four field goals in 14 attempts, converted 13-of-14 charity tosses.

Twelve of the Heat's 35 points in the second quarter came via free throws. Philadelphia got to the line just four times in the second, hitting all four shots.

Saturday's defeat left the 76ers 0-4 straight up against Miami after the Heat won all three regular season encounters. Philly has split at the window, 2-2 against the spread, with the Game 1 'under' (190) also leaving the totals 2-2 in the four matchups.

Mike Miller is questionable for Miami on Monday after reinjuring his thumb in just three minutes of court time Saturday. Philadelphia is not reporting any noteworthy injuries for Game 2.

The series will take a two-day break before resuming at Philadelphia's Wells Fargo Center on Thursday. TNT will also carry that broadcast with the tip a little past 5:00 p.m. (PT).

Pacers at Bulls: What Bettors Need to Know

Indiana Pacers at Chicago Bulls (-12, 191)

THE STORY: The Chicago Bulls had more trouble than most people expected in the series opener on Saturday but eventually returned to the form that got them the best record in the NBA - playing tough defense and letting Derrick Rose take over. The Indiana Pacers may have squandered a big lead in the fourth quarter of the Game 1 but at least they learned that they have the talent to hang with the Bulls and maybe steal a game in Chicago. They will attempt to do just that when the teams meet for Game 2 of the first-round series at the United Center on Monday.

TV: 9:30 p.m. ET, TNT, CSCH, TSN2

ABOUT THE BULLS: For a while, it looked as though Chicago was feeling the effects of all the pressure that comes with being the top seed in the league. Then Rose stepped up. The Bulls ended the game on a 16-1 run and tied it when Rose drove for his second straight circus shot in the lane with 1:27 left. Rose got the rebound at the other end and came back up court, drawing the defense before kicking it out to Kyle Korver for a wide-open 3-pointer and Chicago’s first lead of the game with 48 seconds left. Rose finished with 39 points and went 17 of 19 from the free throw line while Luol Deng chipped in 18 points and 10 rebounds.

ABOUT THE PACERS: Indiana led by as many as 12 points in the third quarter and were still up 10, 98-88, with 3:39 left before collapsing down the stretch. Danny Granger scored 24 points and Tyler Hansbrough added 22 but the Pacers got little from anyone else in the second half. They seemed to figure out how to attack the Bulls’ league-leading defense, shooting 10 of 18 from beyond the arc. Now they just have to find a way to stop Rose from getting into the lane.

WHO’S HOT/WHO’S NOT: Carlos Boozer was a non-factor in the first game for Chicago, finishing with 12 points and six rebounds in 26 minutes as he battled foul trouble. Paul George was held to two points in his first career playoff game for Indiana.

KEY STATISTIC: Rebounding. The Bulls dominated the glass, 49-34, in the first game and were especially active on their own end, pulling down 21 offensive boards.

LAST WORD: When asked if he ever felt safe with the lead, Granger gave this response: “With Derrick Rose on the other team? No. It’s like a crazy stalker ex-girlfriend,” he said. “Every time you tell her you don’t want to talk to her, she’ll show up at your door again.”

TRENDS: Chicago is 0-5-1 against the spread in its last six playoff games as a favorite and 1-6 ATS in its last seven home games

The under is 7-3 in Indiana's last 10 games as a road underdog.

The over is 5-1 in the Pacers last six games at Chicago.

Pick 'n' Roll

Monday's Best NBA Bets

Philadelphia 76ers at Miami Heat (-9.5, 190)

Miami improved to 4-0 (2-2 ATS) against Philadelphia this season with Saturday’s hard-fought 97-89 victory at AmericanAirlines Arena.

The Sixers are going to need more from Andre Iguodala (four points on 2-of-7 shooting in Game 1), but will they get it? Iguodala missed the last two contests of Philly’s regular season and it’s clear he is not yet 100 percent. Louis Williams (hamstring) returned from a five-game absence and scored 10 points, but he made only three of 10 shots.

Another problem for the Sixers was something Miami did early in the second quarter. The home team, which had been trailing most of the way, switched to a zone defense and had the lead by halftime.

“We came out with a zone against a team that really likes to attack,” the Philadelphia Inquirer reported LeBron James as saying. “The zone kind of keeps everybody out on the perimeter. It just caught them off guard. Those few possessions that we went to the zone allowed us to get back into the game.”

The Heat have now won five games in a row and 16 of their last 19.

Pick: Heat

Indiana Pacers at Chicago Bulls (-12, 191)

The Bulls trailed 98-88 with less than four minutes remaining in Game 1 on Friday, but at that point it was time for the Derrick Rose show. Rose scored seven of his 39 points in the final 1:50 and Chicago overcame a game Indiana squad 104-99.

“Kid's out of this world,” Pacers’ head coach Frank Vogel said of Rose during his post-game press conference. “He's got (Allen) Iverson's speed, (Jason) Kidd's vision, (Chauncey) Billups' shooting, and (Michael) Jordan's athleticism.”

Even so, Indiana battled the No. 1 overall seed in the NBA for a full 48 minutes. Perhaps the Pacers’ recent regular-season win over the Bulls was not a fluke, after all.

Chicago won 21 of its last 23 games heading into the playoffs, but one of the losses? None other than a 115-108 overtime thriller at Indiana on March 18.

With Tyler Hansbrough (22 points in Game 1), Roy Hibbert (11 points, eight rebounds), and Josh McRoberts able to bang with the league’s best rebounding team, the Pacers are going to be a tough out. It will be hard to recover from letting the opener slip away, but getting 12 points is a lot.

Pick: Pacers

NHL Betting: Phoenix Coyotes host Red Wings
By: Michael Robinson

The Phoenix Coyotes will be fighting for their playoff lives when they host the powerful Detroit Red Wings on Monday night. The Coyotes trail this best-of-seven series 2-0.

The puck will drop from Jobing.com Arena at 7:30 p.m. (PT) and be broadcast on Versus. Keep checking the Don Best odds screen for the latest money line and total information.

Detroit won the home opener last Wednesday 4-2 as 159 favorites. The Coyotes led 1-0 after the first period, but squandered several power play opportunities. They went 0-for-6 on the night in that category, ranking just 23rd in the regular season (15.9 percent conversion).

Detroit didn’t need any comebacks in Game 2 on Saturday. A 4-0 explosion by early in the second period held up for a 4-3 win. Phoenix showed grit by coming back with three power play goals, but the Red Wings held on as 166 ‘chalk.’

Both playoff games went ‘over’ the 5½-goal total. The ‘over’ is now 8-1 in Detroit’s last nine playoff games.

Sixth-seed Phoenix (43-26-13 for 99 points in the regular season) needs to build on the late momentum from last game. Winger Shane Doan had two goals and defenseman Keith ****le had three assists. They are the team’s leading scorers for the year and will need to continue to step up.

The Coyotes are 21-13-7 at home this year, but did play better down the stretch there (11-3-2). Their offense wasn’t explosive either home (2.80) or away (2.71) in the regular season and they prefer a lower scoring game against the high-flying Red Wings.

The ‘under’ went 6-2 in Phoenix’ last eight home games with goaltender Ilya Bryzgalov allowing a total of 14 goals.

Phoenix does have a couple of injuries. Defensemen Ed Jovanovski and Derek Morris are listed as questionable and doubtful respectively with upper body ailments. Morris hasn’t played in this series and Jovanovski got hurt last game.

Third-seed Detroit (47-25-10, 104 points in the regular season) has some of the NHL’s elite players and it’s showed this series. Pavel Datsyuk has been spectacular with two goals and three assists. Johan Franzen got shutout last game, but had a goal and an assist in Game 1.

Those guys are important with leading scorer Henrik Zetterberg out the first two games (knee). He hasn’t played since April 6 and is doubtful for Monday. That’s the only significant injury for Detroit.

Goaltender Jimmy Howard (37-17-5, 2.79 GAA in the regular season) has allowed five goals on 61 shots the first two games.

The Red Wings have been an excellent road team at 26-11-4, second-best in the NHL behind Vancouver. They split the two games at Phoenix this year, 5-4 loss in March and 2-1 win in October. Both games went into the extra session.

Detroit and Phoenix met in an opening round series last year. Phoenix had home ice and won the first game 3-2. However, the Red Wings took the final three in the desert by a combined score of 17-6, including a 6-1 blowout in a decisive Game 7.

Detroit has struggled historically away in Game 3’s after going up 2-0 in the playoffs. It’s just 3-8 in those situations, including the 2009 Stanley Cup Finals when it lost Game 3 (and the series) to Pittsburgh.

Game 4 of this series will be Wednesday night and will shift back to Motown for a Game 5 on Friday (if necessary).

Monday's Best NHL Bets

Pittsburgh Penguins at Tampa Bay Lightning (-130, 5)

After a pair of tilts in Pittsburgh, the Lightning return home on Monday and head coach Guy Boucher is clearly excited about it.

“I can't wait for our fans to welcome us,” Boucher told the St. Petersburg Times. “I'm hoping they have all the energy and enthusiasm in the world, because it does give you energy. It does give you hope.”

As if Game 2 had not already Tampa Bay enough hope? The visitors annihilated Pittsburgh 5-1, evening the opening-round series at one apiece. While Tampa’s offense stole headlines with three first-period goals, net-minder Dwayne Roloson continued his fine form.

Roloson saved 35 of 36 shots, and even though the Penguins scored three times in Game 1, he fought off 37 of 39 attempts (the last goal was an empty-netter). Roloson has allowed no more than two goals in six of his last seven outings.

Meanwhile, perhaps the laundry list of absences is catching up the Penguins. Evgeni Malkin (knee) is gone for the year, Sidney Crosby (concussion) and Dustin Jeffrey (knee) are still out indefinitely, and Matt Cooke is suspended for this series.

Pick: Lightning

Detroit Red Wings at Phoenix Coyotes (-120, 5.5)

The Coyotes find themselves trailing 2-0 after a pair of contests in Detroit, but they certainly looked better on Saturday than they did on Wednesday.

A big reason for that was Phoenix’s power play. The visitors had six chances (a total of 17 minutes) and did not convert a single time in Game 1. Three days later, though, the Coyotes converted three of seven man advantages in a 4-3 loss.

“We got some pucks to the net, and we were able to find some of the pucks around the front,” head coach Dave Tippett told AzCentral.com. “I thought our intent around the net was much better tonight. The 5 on 3, we had some more poise that we were missing in the first game.”

Detroit leads this season’s head-to-head series 4-2, but no contest has been decided by more than two goals. Twice their battles ended in overtime, one went to a shootout, and obviously Saturday’s showdown was a one-goal thriller.

Pick: Coyotes

You can scratch this nameless service as one I would use if I was going to pay for the service.
This clueless dork doesn't even know that the Sox have NOT swept the first three games and lost on Friday 7-6!

Hondo

Hondo, aka Debt Man Walking, went belly up again yesterday when the Brewers enabled the Nats to post season highs in runs and hits, which caused Mr. Aitch to post a season-high deficit of 265 ceruttis.

Today, he will get up and at 'em for some morning maniac action with the Blue Jays over Dice K and the Sawx -- 10 units. Also, as per the recommendation of none other than Howard "Howie Hoops" Kussoy, he'll mix in plays on Marcum and Hudson -- 10 apiece on the Brewers and Braves.
