Players NBA *8* Monday OVER in New York on 24 February
Scott "The Bulldog" Rickenbach NBA Monday 8* (Regular Play) OVER in New York vs. Dallas @ 7:30 p.m. ET
The New York Knicks host the Dallas Mavericks Monday. “The Bulldog” breaks down his selection on OVER in New York with his Three-Factor Analysis: 1. Dallas is one of the hotter Over plays in the NBA right now, topping the total in three straight games and posting a 6-3 O/U record in its last nine games. The Mavericks have scored over 100 points in seven of those games, averaging more than 114 points the past three contests. 2. New York is also leaning toward the Over, playing above the number in five of its last six contests. The Knicks offense has found a groove after struggling most of the season. They were able to overcome those scoring woes on the road and have gone 7-1 O/U in their last eight road games. 3. Neither team has played well defensively. Dallas has allowed its last three opponents to average 110.3 points while New York has allowed 109 points per game over its last three contests.
Play on OVER in New York as an 8* Regular Selection Monday.
Good luck, Scott.
Nelly's Monday NBA Total Domination - Feb. 24 (1* OVER DAL/NYK)
02/24/14 Nelly's 1* #703/704 'OVER 204.5' Dallas Mavericks at New York Knicks 6:35 PM CT
The Knicks are back at home Monday night after a long four-game road trip in the southeast, losing three of the four games and now eight of the last ten games overall. The Knicks are just 1-2 in the last three home games but the losses came by very slim margins. With a 10-20 ATS record at home the Knicks are gaining some value even though this team is 2-13 ATS as an underdog of less than five points this season. Dallas has been one of the best ATS road teams in the NBA at 20-10 while also going 9-1 ATS as a slight favorite of less than four points. This is a challenging spot for Dallas having played five of the last six games on the road so the total on tonight's game may be the more promising opportunity. New York has allowed triple-digits in four of the last six games while Dallas has allowed at least 102 points in four of the last five games. These teams combined for only 172 points in Dallas earlier this season but the great Dallas offensive shot only 41 percent and the game featured only 23 free throw makes combined for the two teams. New York had a massive early lead in the game and clearly slowed the game down to hold on. Six of the previous nine meetings between these teams have played 'over' and both teams rank in the bottom eight in the NBA in defensive efficiency. The 'over' is 17-13 in games at Madison Square Garden this season and the 'over' has had a solid edge in Knicks games overall despite the offense struggling at times. With both teams coming off taxing travel, defensive intensity may be missing in this matchup.
