(Please read the Analysis and Advice Below...To Understand why I posted this Bet at +4 and -120 after Buy the 1/2 Point...Obviously if the books don't do what is expected, we will instead BUY the 1/2 and take it to +3.5...But we expect that it will, especially since many have moved to -130 on the Vig already...with hours to go before Game-time)
With the concensus having the Panthers -3 and -125 and even higher at some spots...we should all have no problem buying the Hook at a good price...
I highly recommend that we all wait as close to Kick-Off as possible because with the majority of bettors still having to make their wagers...we may see the books be forced to adjust their lines to -3.5...
In which case, we would love to be able to get TAMPA BAY +4 (-120)...and there is an excellent chance we will based on what all of the books that I have spoken to have said...
The Bottom Line is that this line should not be this high...in fact, the majority of sharps I spoke to, made this a PICK...Tampa has already proven to be capable of beating the Panthers, after the way they dismantled them at home by 24 Points...And after going back and breaking that game down, it became very apparent that the Buccs hold a huge edge on many of the Key match-ups...This is a very winnable game for Tampa Bay...and although most are saying how excited the Panthers will be to be playing on MNF...We can't overlook the fact that the Buccaneers will also be extremely motivated to show that they belong to be included among the Top Teams in the NFC...So this is a classic situation of seeing major "Value" in backing the underdog...and taking the team who is getting the Points in what could be a very closely contested game...And with Bodog already up to Panthers -3 and -135...I really think that we will be able to get +4 (-120) by the time these 2 kick-off...So let's go ahead and wait it out...and then step up and Buy the Half- Point and take the Tampa Bay Buccaneers +4 (-120)...as the NFL MNF 3* BEST BET...VR

I contemplated laying the 1/2 goal here as well, especially since we are able to get +110 to do so...But seeing that we can lay -145 and turn a profit by simply Cashing 6 of 10 wagers...I felt that the edge we have based on my "Projected Final" makes playing the ML the wager with the most "Value"...
For starters, Pittsburgh will be looking to extract a little revengo after losing to this same team 4-3 last week...This time though, they get them at home, where the Pens have gone "7-3-2" this season...More importantly, this time around it will be Sabourin in net for the Pens, instead of the rookie Curry who was the losing goalie in that last game...
Sabby has a Save% of 92.8 overall which is awesome...but when you see that it climbs to 95.2 % at home...it's obvious that Pitt will have a huge Upgrade in net, this time around vs. the Sabres...Also, Pitt has won 7 of the L/10 in the Series, and 4 of the L/5 on their home ice vs Buffalo...So you can see why they are the Fav going into this game...and more importantly, why I feel that we are still definately getting the best of it, by laying -145...In fact, according to my "Projected Final"...we could lay up to -170 in this spot and still expect to turn a profit over time...So let's go ahead and back the Favorite, in the "Prime-Time" Match-Up on Versus...and make a 2* HEAVY HITTER BET on Pittsburgh -145 on the ML tonight....VR

BOSTON -1/2 (-130)...(2*) HEAVY HITTER
This is as big of a mis-match on paper as you will find...and after breaking it down...I see absolutely no reason why it won't be the same on the ice tonight...Boston is absolutely on fire and has only lost "1" game at home in regulation, while TBay has won only 3 on the road...And since the coaching change, Tampa Bay has won just 1 game...We also get the #1 Goalie back in net tonight for the Bruins, Tim Thomas who has been absolutely light's out this year...And after his back-up, Fernandez got a win last time out...I expect a rested Thomas to come out looking to do the same in front of the home crowd...Not only is Tampa Bay playing terribly this year, but historically they have never fared well ve the Bruins...In fact, Boston has won 7 of the L/10 in the series....and just last week, beat them again on the road...And taking an even longer look back, I found that Boston has gone "16-2-5" vs Tampa, here at home in the L/10+ Seasons...and although I have never been one to put much stock in stats that go so far back...it does go to show that Tampa just don't do well in Boston...Although I always prefer to play the ML when backing a Favorite...the price of -230 or higher is more than I would like to lay, even though I feel that there is still some Value there....So instead, we will take advantage of being able to lay -1/2 Goal...and having to get it done in regulation, at a much fairer and lower price...Let's go ahead and lay the -130 to do so, and make this a 2* Heavy Hitter NHL Bet...VR
