3-Star Minnesota at LA Clippers UNDER 211.5 - The Timberwolves are playing the sixth game of a six-game road trip and they lost each of the first five. This is a great opportunity to avoid the O-fer trip. They have gone over the total in their last three -- in Phoenix, Portland and Denver. They were a big dog in each game and they fell behind by double-digits in each game. The Timberwolves don't need to be desperate here. They can beat the Clippers with defense and rebounding in a half-court game. If this one stays close, it should go under this number.
The Clips have also gone over three straight. In their last game, they beat the Bulls 100-99, outshooting Chicago 50.7% to 47.6%. It was their second straight win in which they shot better than 50% from the field. It has jacked up this number and we'll take the line value with the UNDER. LA is 0-11 OU at home with at least one day of rest after a road win in which they shot at least 50% from the field, staying under by an average of 16.0 ppg. Also, LA is 0-6 OU (-13.4 ppg) at home when the OU line is at least nine points higher than it was last game. Finally, the Clippers are 0-4 OU (-10.8 ppg) at home after a win on the road in which Eric Gordon was NOT the Clippers' high scorer. These two are 0-4 OU their last four in LA, staying under by an average of 19.4 ppg. The OU lines in those four games were: 193.5, 202, 195 and 192 and all four stayed under by double-digits. Here we're getting a much bigger number to go under. We'll take it. MTi's FORECAST: LA CLIPPERS 102 Minnesota 97
