Why would buy up to 40 though? In the long run you would cost yourself a lot of money by buying points like that. The fact that the total landed on 40 tonight was just a fluke. You could probably play 100 more games and have the total not land on 40. Buying the side on and off 3, and possibly even 7, is a good idea in football. Anything other than that though and you're probably looking at - EV.
