Pennsylvania Quakers.
Please, we can get through this if we work together, the more you laugh the more I laugh.
If it was not for a 29 point effort from Zach Rosen against La Salle last week (a game which I gave you La Salle minus the points) the Quakers may have not broken the 30 point mark. Not only did six of their players fail to score a point but the next highest scorer to Rosen was Jack Eggleston with 7. After that game the Quakers overall record sits at 1-12. They have yet to win a home game as they sit 0-5. Offensively they rank 294th a slight drop from 292nd position. Defensively they rank 339th allowing 80 points a game.
To save time and further embarrassment of the Penn Quakers I wont ramble off 16 negative trends for you stating why its a good financial investment to back St. Joes tonight and I will simply move on to why in fact it is a good choice to back St. Joes from a match up perspective.
Its a weird 7-11 for the Hawks this year. They have held their own against teams of their stature but been blown away by the better teams. They can not seem to get anything going and suffer from it on road trips. The numbers tell you they can score, but can not stop. The truth, they have turned the corner for the better after a two game home stand winning a huge game over 14-5 Dayton and taking care of Townson. In these two games their defense has been great. They held the Flyers to just 59 points and played a solid 40 minutes.
Going into this game tonight against Penn will be like a practice game for the Hawks. They can work on what they did last game and build momentum to make a run in the Atlantic 10 and try secure a high seed in March. They have covered 4 straight overall against Penn, covered 4 in a row at Penn and the road team holds a 5-0 edge against the number in the past five games played between these two teams.
Short line here to try get Penn action. The 0-7 visitor record of St. Joes will grab more attention then the 0-5 home record of Penn. This line is like Shania Twain, going up up up from here. Jump on it while its hot.
