I just left the Strip and have been informed by a few of the shops that they are expecting to see the Betting Public continue to take the Under on this one...Which is also why they already have gone down from the opening number...
I felt that the books were much better off keeping it at the opener...and even then, the Value definately was with the OVER...Because although their past few match-ups have been generally low-scoring defensive battles, I expect to see more scoring from both teams this evening...
We are expecting a much quicker tempo in tonight's game...and also for foul-shooting to help the total along as both teams look to get to the line and show dominance on the inside...
Calhoun has the kind of team this season which he is able to play fast with, as well as apply the kind of defensive pressure that he likes...That is one of the major reasons that I expect Pitt to come in and play a little quicker than they are used to or enjoy, but with that strong of an offense, they have the luxery of being extremely versatile when needed...
This should be an excellent game, and although I felt that UCONN should be able to get the SU win at home tonight...the bottom line is we are looking at 2 of the best in the nation, and the line is where it should be to offer very little value for backing either side...
So instead, after really taking the time to break this one down, and then having the opportunity to gather all the info I can...it appears that the Best Bet for this match-up lies with the Total...Where we feel the bookmakers have gone ahead and over-compensated for the "Public Perception" of these 2 teams...and are offering us a lot of Value to go OVER the Total...
