2* MLB BEST BET! — Chicago Cubs +110 (Arrieta/Lackey)
Want ibn on Jake Arrieta here. He was sensational last start, complete game shutout and command a pretty good edge over John Lackey on the pitching numbers. Don’t mind the scheduling either with the Cubs on a short trip after a day game, while the Cardinals have a longer ride home off a night game. Cubs aren’t hitting a lick right now, so there’s a drawback here. But Arrieta as a dog is worth playing so I’m on the Cubs
2* MLB BEST BET! – Minnesota Twins +105 (May/Lohse)
If I can get even pocket change dog action against Kyle Lohse, I’m probably in. He’s been mostly bad for Milwaukee and brutal at home. Trevor May still under the radar but this guy is developing into a quality starting pitcher. Twins rested off a nice against Chris Sale, while the Brewers just got completely shut down by Jake deGrom, so it’s not a bad scheduling spot either. I’m looking for spots to take a chance with May as the kid looks undervalued right now, and with Minnesota cast as a dog here, I’ll go that route and take the Twins.
