Ben Burns' 10* NCAAB Personal Favorite! ~ Payback Time!
I’I’m playing on CANISIUS. The Purple Eagles have covered two straight. The Golden Griffins have dropped two straight against the number. I expect things to change here though. While the Eagles have covered two in a row, they’ve also lost four straight games from a SU perspective. Each of the last two setbacks were of the “heart-breaking” variety. They lost 90-98 vs. Iona and followed it up with a 78-77 loss vs. Manhattan. While those were fairly impressive results, I believe that it’s going to be hard for the Eagles to bounce back from the painful losses. Those type of defeats can take a toll. The Griffins lost to the same two teams (Iona Manhattan) in their last two games and didn’t look nearly as good in doing so. While it may sound funny to some, I believe they’ll be able to bounce back more easily. They likely won’t be thinking about what could have been, as much as their hosts. The Griffins, who are 10-2 ATS in lined games after scoring 80 or more points in their previous game, already hammered the Eagles by double-digits (87-74) at Canisius. They also won here by seven (77-70) last season. A similar result here won’t surprise. 10* personal favorite
