In fact, in their last five games the Thunder have the best point differential in the NBA at +11.8. In that same five game span the Lakers have the 20th worst point differential of -5PPG. The big difference here is defense as the Thunder are 5th best in the NBA in terms of defensive efficiency ratings allowing just 1.018 points per possession while the Lakers are LAST in the Association allowing 1.137 PPP.
